Modern Grenadier (marine re-equip)

Well, I made this for myself but I thought some of you WW2 moders could use it as well. It is just a marine that uses the grenadier animation and weapons.
For melee combat he uses a combat knife.

Modified files are grenadier.nif and grenadier.dds

xml should be:
<NIF>Art/Units/Modern Grenadier/Grenadier.nif</NIF>
<KFM>Art/Units/Grenadier/Grenadier.kfm</KFM>
<SHADERNIF>Art/Units/Modern Grenadier/Grenadier.nif</SHADERNIF>

Hope you like it.

I've also now made an icon for it.

Very very nice , now if you could just add the "Fire in the hole!" sound to this it would be pefect.

hello, I want just to announce that I have a problem with this unit when it is in the plays it does not have skin it appears all mauve is this normal?

That's because I only gave you the files that I've modified. You will need to put the marine skin "marine_128.dds" into the same folder as well. just use the default one that came with civ to get the apearance in the screenshot

You can probably find the marine_128.dds file in the "marine" folder once you extracted the art0.fpk folder with the PAK extractor tool provided by Firaxis and downloadable on this forum somewhere under the tools section.
(I think that's all the info you need to know from scratch )

This unit is totally awesome bro. Good job.

Who would have thought mixing up the art and model files would make a new unit like that?

Took me about 10 min to get it to work right but after I did I tested it against a few types of units and it worked like a charm.

This is not working properly for me. I see the unit correctly but it is in glowing pink.
Is it a problem that I renamed the directory to ModernGrenadier from 'Modern Grenadier' ?
