Chapter 1: Genesis
All reasons remain a mystery, maybe the reasons were a mystery to the settlers themselves, however, the nomadic Japanese tribe settled down. The location was nothing special, just a mere piece of land that the men had been born unto. This land was special to them not due to its resources, not due to its literal beauty, but it had a special significance: their land of birth. Thus, unpacking their bags, setting up shacks and huts, the city of Kyoto was founded and a leader was chosen. A man by the name of Ryoku.
The city was infamous for it harsh climates and environment. Let me just say, the terrain was not an ideal residence. However, there were flood plains to the North, but they were known to spark disease and were avoided at all costs. Albeit the cruel conditions, Kyoto prospers.
Several hundred years later, a new city is founded: Osaka. It had an ample location amongst flat, fertile plains. Circa 3000 BC, a man by the name of Pliny completes a book: "The Most Advanced Nations of the World."
A sudden urge to explore the encompassing expanses led to the creation of Warrior regiments. They scouted the land, and circa 2290 B.C., they encountered another settled tribe. They dubbed them the Mongols.
Soon after, Ryoku receives information that they have encountered another civilization called China.
Then, a new book dealing with the foreign, unknown civilizations and there achievements has been produced. It deals with the power and might of the nations.
Then another pathetic tribe was encountered: India. Ryoku felt the pressure and level of competition increase. He knew that some of these tribes would be a major hassle later on. He only hoped they would not pull stupid strategies...such as claiming the lands that the Japanese thought were rightfully theirs. They had never gone and settled them just yet, however. Their lagging behind in settling cities rapidly would come to haunt them.
On the contrary, Ryoku was able to use his excellent trade and barter skills to get his hands on a World Map (975 BC). Also, he received information about a new book dealing with the Expansionistic achievements of the nations of the world (900 BC), and he received news that his people built a magnificent wonder (875 BC): The Oracle! This was able to shift his mindset towards happier thoughts.
Just as happiness sets in, it turns stale. In 590 B.C. the Indians settle in the land North of the Japanese, which the Japanese, although they haven't "technically" settled the land, believe it is rightfully theres. "This insult must no go unpunished! The thieves must suffer!", Ryoku demands as he makes his public speech in Kyoto.
This atrocious, ludicrous event increases tension, and soon results in a war between the two nations. The campaign is set: start from Karachi and attack North-bound, conquering huge chunks of territory from the puny Indians.
