This is the New Republic E-Wing fighter. I think the first time these showed up was in the Dark Empire comics. And they are used in the EU books now and then.

The unit supports team colors on the wings, and has a polygon count of 878. I used the original Jet Fighter's animations, so the XML should use that.

They are a funny looking ship with the blaster on top but the model is great! What's next Dual?
 
and because they're not from the films it also makes a perfect generic Sci-Fi unit... awesome, thanks!!!

Once I finish implementing DonStamos' new tech tree and the units are in too, I'de love to play a duel game as the rebels against you and whoop your butt ;)

That's a challenge.

Of course...I still gotta come up with all the buildings. :D Which I can now do with the new tech tree. ;)
 
I take anti-rebel comments personally because I'm a rebel at heart (not one of these teenage "rebels" that feel its necessary to argue with every figure of authority, but the "real" rebel that actually rebels against an oppressor for freedom). Still, I think it would be a fun game :)

Yea, buildings would help, and we need to get resources decided on as well.

Yeah, that blaster on top is in a strange position, isn't it? In the pictures, they show that the whole weapon flips up to let the pilot get in and out of the cockpit. So I guess you can't park the fighter somewhere with a low ceiling. :lol:

Next, I am working on a Z-95 Headhunter. It's very similar to a X-Wing, so I figure I can reuse some of the X-Wing model parts on it.

I very agree with that. :) I just fell over backwards the first time Darth Vader came on the big screen. I have been a Empire fan ever since. ;) But, I am very much the same way, in terms of the whole oppression thing. :) I'd like to do the game though...I might learn a few things. ;)

Maybe you could also do an ARC-170, featured in Episode III. It was the predecessor to the Z-95 and X-Wing. Itlooks similar to them but I think reusing parts would be difficult.

That's another one I might do in the future. It's an interesting ship. But yeah, none of the X-Wing stuff would look right on it, so I will just have to make everything from scratch for it.
 
Screw the Rebels, the Chiss are where it's at;)

The Empire got totally raped by the Yuuzhan Vong, the New Republic got destroyed, but the Chiss have yet to lose to them:cool:

Actually, the Chiss Clawcraft is what I have planned for my next Star Wars unit after the Z-95. There are a couple Final Fantasy units I want to do soon though, so there might be a delay in the Clawcraft coming out. :)

Oh, either way will work. :) With the Republic, you get Clones. With the Empire, you get Storms. :) Either way, rebel scum will die. :devil:
