Renaming Captured Cities?

Fairly self explanatory title, should we rename them?

I believe we should, maybe give them names with a twist to our 'licentian' names ;)
 
You should rename one after me..:) for leading a succesful war plan and Whomp for having some good rolls in the War.

I am joking of course. But Robbooville and Whomp City do have a good ring to them...

If it's named after me I'd prefer it be called Whomper Room. ;) Yes, I think we should rename these cities.

Old Sarai..nomination for "Freedom"
Turfan nomination for "Victory"
I dont have one for Ning
 
I think we should leave the capitols' names alone. So we remeber who we've conquered and where they were. Also in all my games i like to "collect" foriegn capitols. :D

How about.."Genghis' Gallows" for the capitol... "Bismark's electric chair"..."Peter's Lethal injection"

I mean the possibilities are endless.

We are talking about the future for capitols. I highly doubt that we won't capture the Mongol capitol at aome time.

the only approved plan is over...he would have to get citizen approval...
 
Always lots of options with names.

I quite like the Egyptian feel of Toot Uncommon.
Old Sarai -> Old Sarah -> Old Maid -> Maidum (apparently a place in Egypt)

I think naming at least one city after the dominant general is reasonable, so combining that with the Egyptian feel you could go something like?

Nefer Nefru Robboo?
Robboohotep?

Or you can just stick with humorous additions to the Mongols pre-existing names.

Turfan -> Turf An Surf
Ning-Hisa -> Ka-Ching Visa


I quite like "Pharaoh Ver Khan" or some derivative there of, but maybe you want to save that for taking Karakorum?
 
Most certanly we should rename any conqured cities.
 
I think that the old names are good. We should respect our enemies as well as our friends, and we shoulden't act as a soulless tyrant.
