I've been everywhere, man
Here's the big brother to my AT-ST, the AT-AT.

info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT-AT
Poly: ~2500

Please see this thread on how to add it to the game. It uses the same sounds and effects as the AT-ST. Please just replace 'ATST' in the code with 'ATAT' to get it to work. DO NOT CHANGE ANY XML REGUARDING SOUND. If you want the sounds to play with the unit, the XML must remain unchanged from that in the AT-ST thread. I highly recommend you download the minimod in that thread (in post 6) and just change the unit XML files to read ATAT.

Enjoy,

Smitty

Great work. What program did you use to make this?

I'll second that White Rabbit. Amazing job Smitty!

Units like this can make the starwars mod very interesting indeed! Smashing!

It looks great :goodjob: Our mod is coming together nicely because of units like this and the fighters that Dual has made. :D

That is simply an amazing pic smitty.

My favorite unit from my favorite SW movie. I think we'll find a use for this either on the Moon or in the SMAC mod, or both! It's truly incredible.

That's awesome Smitty. Both the AT-AT and the AT-ST are fantastic. You really helped us out. You'll see them both soon in 0.65

I used 3ds Max. If you're looking to getting into 3d modelling, I highly recommend it. It only took me about a week or so to learn all of the basics, and a week after that to get proficient with it. If you try it out and have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, this site has some great tutorials (the ones I used to learn).

WOW!!!! i m really impressed by the detailed "Head" of it ;)
At-St and At-At look very very nice.

Now the Star Wars Mod just needs some appropriate Infantry! (i think Rebels could be made out of the Seal... but Stormtroopers... A complete new Head and Weaopns are needed. But easy to skin they will be.

Just added both the AT-ST and AT-AT to my game, and they look great. :goodjob:

But using the XML you provided for the AT-ST, it looks a lot bigger than the AT-AT. What numbers do you recommend for the <fScale> tags for both the units, to make them look like the screenshots you posted?

ATST: fscale 0.12
ATAT: fscale 0.32

The ATST is just under half the size of teh ATST. You can scale them any way you like - a word of caution though. The run animation for the ATAT (admitadly a bit choppy, but the game makes the units move fast between tiles, so it's hard to get that lumbering look for it) is meant to be matched for that size. If you change it, the animation starts to look odd.
