This TechTree is VERY large, 7x2 Landscape oriented A4 papers(Approx. 190x40 cm).
It is also very detailed, with all detailed info on every Unit, Wonder,
Building etc you get when you Research each tech, all included inside
the relevant Tech-square.
The layout is almost identical to the in-game one to be easier too overview.
It also includes a Leaders, Traits and Promotion charts etc at the end.

This is a full image of the Tech-tree but in lower resolution for computer viewing.
If you are going to print the tech-tree use the above zipped images instead.

holy sh*t bro! GOOD JOB! :goodjob:

this is badass but it would take up an entire wall of 8x11 paper! can you size it down a bit, maybe to only 4 sheets?

Nice job, Oakstar. Think you could post a full tech tree in one image (in lower resolution perhaps)?

The last link is not working btw.

It included too much info to be scaled down in size and still be readable and
easily overviewed. There is just too much info.
If you still want a smaller you can always simply scale it when printing, but you
will not be able to read all information.

This is staggering. Great job. It's interesting to look at the UU all laid out in the way that you did with their difference from 'normal' units. It's a very small picky point, but you might want to add that Jaguars & Camel Archers don't require Iron & Horses/Iron, respectively. There may also be other UU's that require alternate resources (actually I know there are I just don't them off the top of my head).

Otherwise reading that list makes me realize why some UU don't feel 'special' enough to me.

I just gotta go out and buy som A4 sized paper... :)

I'm sure the wife won't be upset about having a tech tree wallpaper in the family room...:mischief:

Edit:
BTW! What's a 'Whinery' anyway? I get enough whining from my kids
PS. not trying to be nitpicky at all; I just thought it was a funny misspelling... ;) This is a terrific help.

lol. I bet there are more bugs in this.
It is good that all of you point out any errors so I can fix them.
No bugs are too small to be terminated :)

'll put them on my fix-it/enhance list.
I noticed I forgot all units and buildings that are available from start,
like Warrior, Barracks etc

Edit: Started to work on a new version of the tech-tree. Changes/Additions:
Barracks
Worker
Settler
Warrior
Great Persons(With Join City Bonus production etc, special buildings),
Civic Type is displayed beside Civics(Legal etc )
Missionary
Jaguar/Camel Archer updated
Animals
Fixed Wrong icon and spelling: Winery :)

As I wrote before: There is no way to reduce the size and keep all information
and still be easy to overview.
If the printer can handle 600 dpi, and I don't think there is any that can't since many years back, it is readable. The smallest could be a bit bigger to be clearer, other than that, it's perfectly readable.
I have it printed and posted on my wall and i'm happy with it.

It's simple. If you wan't ALL information gathered for this game and without being just a big mess of info, this is the size needed.

If not, there are plenty other tech-trees available with less info and therefore smaller. Choose one of those.

So please, enough of this "It's too big. Keep it down in size".
But I will increase the size of the smallest "Resource required font".

Hi fellow techtree-drawer ;)

I like the graphical layout very much, gives it a clean look, also all the information on 1 sheet is a good achievement, although it big (sorry couldn't help it ;) ). It's a good thing these informations are available in all kind of different formats, so there should always be one to your liking.

Some remarks,
I noticed on the separate pages there are dashed lines visible. Are they meant to be there as a cutting lines to combine them all?

I tried on my techtree (see my sig) display the prerequisite tech-relation. It resulted in the best way I could come up with, but it also resembles a plate of spagetti. As you have a lot more space available (sorry again a it's big remark) maybe you have some way to improve this.

It might be a good idea to make a remark on the first post that the complete techtree is 8.6 Mb in size. It could reduce the size-remarks.

Hello!

Yes, they are cutting lines. They overlap a bit to make them easier to align.
The idea is to cut only one of the edges that fit together and overlap them a bit
to avoid glitches.

:) I think the size-discussion is about real-life space occupation, preferably a wall. Rather than File-size.
I've heard size doesn't matter... :hammer2:

Actually the dotted arrow lines is pointing towards the Tech that requires the Tech the arrow comes from.

More for next version, coming this weekend(Also see earlier post):
More translucent Cut-out lines.
A bit bigger Resource/Tech required(units) font
Founder of religion bonuses(Culture in cities, free missionary)
City Specialists
