Ministry of Science

Welcome to the Ministry of Science of Licentia (and some parts of Mongolia :) )
Currently researching Literature 2 turns left but because of our low amount of cash if we don't change anything it will take 3 turns

CoL on the Minister of Science
Powers and Duties of the Minister of Science:
1. The Minister of Science shall choose what technology will be researched.
2. The Minister of Science shall keep a list of at least three technologies that are to be researched next and in what order.
3. The Minister of Science shall control all Great Scientists.

Thing we can research
Horsebackriding: 17 turns
Monotheism: 9 turns
Metal Casting: 32 turns
Compass: 28 turns
Code of Laws: 25 turns
Feudalism: 49 turns
Philosophy: 17 turns
Music: 36 turns
Calendar: 25 turns
Currency: 23 turns
Construction: 25 turns

Technology Trading
We can get Horsebackriding

Beakers
We're researching at 20%.
Term 4 thread: here

There are no polls about science at the moment

discussions:
Finish Philopsophy?
We missed Taoism

List of things we shall research:
Currency, Code of Laws, Metal Casting

Don't You think that The Great Library would be the best boost for our science? We can wait with currency, I will give You some more cash from pillaging last two mongol cities, and You could reserch Literacy with that ( we can resers it in 11t with only 50% reserch rate or faster with higher rate) and then choop TGL in BW. This will give us great boost in reserch ( something about +10RP/turn in BW ) and then a great scientist which will construct Academy ( another bost, +10RP/turn or even more ).

Rihiter, Secretary of War.

the best would be getting math from the mongolians while researching literature, and then change to currency, but i don't know when the peace will start

The only problem I see is, do we have enough workers and forests to chop the great library (we should get Math before chopping to raise the hammeroutput of the forests)

Yes, this is exacly what I mean. First math from mongols and reserching literature at the same time, and after literature curency. With math our chooped forest will give us much more hammers. We don't have to choop all the TGL ( but that way we have greater chance to beat other civs in building it ).

Is there a plan for which city will actually be TGL if we get literature?

Have any of the city governor's been approached?

What I'm getting at is that the decision to go for TGL (and hence research Literature now) involves more than just those in this thread. Without a plan for actually building TGL, I'm interested in knowing what alternatives have been explored/evaluated.

I propose BW, because there is allready much RP and ther are many forests.
But decosion if and where to build isn't in my power, so I can only propose.
