After a quick review of the Designated Players section of the CoL, I have concluded that it is not technically necessary to appoint additional DPs as long as Triumvirate and Cabinet officials are willing to play. It seems a "planned absense" will do the trick. If you are interested in playing using the chain of command clause, just let me know when you're available to cover for me in case I can't make it to the offline session that I schedule.
