Being Drafted: If America were invaded

What would you do if you were drafted during an invasion of America?

If America were invaded by a foreign enemy, and a draft was instated, would you join? And by invasion I mean a classic land, air, sea, etc. invasion with full use of the military in a conventional attack. I don't think the aggressor matters in this case.

EDIT: Ok I'll bump this scenario into hostile foreign aggressors that are against American ideas (the "good" ones, mind you).
 
It would really depend on the situation. In some cases I might, in others I probably wouldn't.

However, it won't matter as long as Bush is in office.
 
If America were attacked I'd join the fight for sure.

Which side I'd join though, remains to be decided. ;)
 
Depends on the issue.

First of all, if there was a call for a draft. I would not even bother to look in the mail for a draft card cause I would be going to the nearest recruiting office to enlist in a non-combat role.

I would see myself in the PsyOps department in the Army. Not sure what a Batchellors in Psychology would get me in the service.
 
Depends on my job, relationship status at the time.
 
People realize that defeating an enemy entails going to his home, and destroying it, even if they attack you first, right?

Even a defensive war is going to include invading another nation. There would probably be an occupation afterwords, too.

if we got invaded, I wouldn't need to be drafted, I would join up willingly.
 
I would sign up also, but the scenario is incredibly unlikely to happen in my life time.

And what if a superpowered alien specie decide to invade earth in the next few weeks? Surely, the USA would be their first target!
 
Interesting results. Wouldn't the ones who fight then be terrorists in the eyes of the invaders?
 
It depends on the situation. I want to have a really good career (as a doctor) when I'm older and if I got drafted that would kind of screw it up.

So, if I was drafted, I'd go. But I wouldn't go willingly if my career was going nicely.
 
I'd try to get into the front lines and go down while blowing up invaders. You hate America you die!
 
A draft wouldn't be needed. The military would fight the war on the invaders turf while every red blooded red nech would hunt the invaders down and win the war at home. Surely you've seen "Red Dawn".

No nation's leader in their right mind would invade the US.
Not only do we have a good military, but considering how many Americans own firearms...

But yes, I'd join.
 
One word that would solve all of our troubles and would make a draft (however entertaining:) ) obsolete:

NUKES!:D

As long as we have Will Smith and the Alien Motherships are susceptible to viruses created on a computer using Windows 98, we’ll be fine.
