Referendum: Mongolian cease fire/peace treaty

What will it take to accept a cease fire/peace treaty with Mongolia

Based on the previous referendums involving the Mongolian War, we are at a cross roads to either reapprove war( with approval needed on plans) or to sign a cease fire and peace treaty.

In other discussion it has become clear that we desire some tech in exchange for peace. Math was the tech most often discussed.

So what will it take for us to sign a peace treaty?
Math, another tech, gold, nothing , or no peace.

Due to the nature of the poll...I allowed you to vote for multiple choices. This will be used to allow the Dp to accpet the peace treaty proposal that the majority wants.
 
We may need to suspend offensive operations to get them to talk about giving us something. If they still won't give us anything after some time without further fighting, we might need to revisit this decision.
 
True and I hope our SoW does supend operations since he is not authorised to do any offensive moves without a new war approval based on last terms referendums.
 
I said keep fighting since they're on their heels. If they give us maths it will be the last tech they give since we've put them in the dark ages. No gold it's not enough of a concession.
 
unless they give us math flatten em, even if they do in 10 turns or so we should finish the job.

Please remember that the "old" war isn't over yet. So I'm not going to stand and watch if they will make any offensive move theirself.
Like I said many times before if Mongols will accept our demends about Math as the ransom, I will gladly sign a peace treaty.
 
Rihiter..you need to look back at lsat term. The war plan which had to be approved is now complete. Therefore you need a new one which I assume will also need to be approved since our censor has set that precedent.
 
Secretar Robbo. As you know, we are still at the state of war with Mongols. So the war is not over dispite the fact that the war plan which was aproved is complete. It is quite simple for me that if our enemy in !current! war will make offensive moves I must react and act a bit offensive myself. Sitting like cowards inside cities won't do us any good.
 
If the previous poll was a referendum, it could be argued that it loses its effect when the term ends. If it was an initiative then it doesn't.

Also, it matters whether the poll says "do this and no more" or just "do this".

This was in the original poll. It is the plan for the invasion and pillaging of Mongolia. It technically doesn't say it is the plan for the entire war.

However I warn the SoW not to anger the populace and risk the "I" word. As of right now it looks like a majority would like a negotiated peace. I won't become an activist against you (unless we start losing the war), but I thought I would point this out to you.

He should know I stand in the same corner as you. And I can knee cap any efforts as SoS if proper form is not followed.
 
Correct Ice..but I will also request as SoS that we know exactly what the SoW is planning. And if those plans appear to be agasint the citizens wishes then I will submit him to the same binding poll that ravenfire did to me. The poll itself is legal...its just not really necessary IF the SoW is following the citizens wishes(which I was and why it ticked me off so much).
 
True, but the most you could do is try and sway Rihiter with threats of him not getting as many votes next election (and if you look at the past nominations/elections, that doesn't seem to be too powerful.)

I'll go ahead and say it now.

Robboo, it seems there is some bad blood of sort between you and Rhiter. Every move he makes you are critising. It annoys me that every post I read made by Rhiter, there is a response from you, that to me comes off in a very rude and commanding way. I would aprreciate if you would maybe layoff a bit. Let Rhiter do HIS job and you do yours.

By the way Rhiter, if you decide to run for SoW next term, you have my vote.
 
no bad blood stratdork..in fact we have been very cordial in PM. Dont mistake me being upset at what happened last term and what I said to rihiter.

Also if you read the CoL..as SoS its my job to declare war and peace based on what the citizens want...and they want peace right now.

I am mainly curious as to why our "mostly absent" censor hasnt chimed in with a binding war plan poll yet.
