I've been everywhere, man
Figured I'd start to round out the subs out here and go ballistic...

Ohio Class SSBN:

Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_class_submarine
Poly: 620
fscale: 0.65

It uses the submarine animation files, so please point to the submarine.kfm file in your XML.

ENJOY!

It looks good but I gotta be honest with you, they all look the same to me :) Given Civ's unit scale and detail I'm not sure what's the point of having more than couple of different subs, heck even the skins wouldn't be that different - green-greyish, grey-greyish and blue-greyish :D.

I disagree with Rabbit in this case...the more variety the merrier...

Is there any chance you could make a Seawolf or Virginia class...they're distinctive due to the change in conning towers and the passive sonar array bubbles along the hulls...

EDIT: Also forgot to mention the change to the Red October esque pump jet system...

Yeah I'll admit it...I think the new submarines are pretty bloody awesome...

Great unit! I can´t wait to walk the nukes :D
and thx for the Akula and LA class - perfect for a coldwar scenario :goodjob:

...hmm i really don´t wanna bother you, but if there´s time for a Type 212 Sub... :mischief: anyway it´s up to you what comes next and i'm curious about it.

great model, thanks

No picture is shown for the unit when it is selected (the previously selected unit's picture is still displayed instead). The actual unit graphic shows up fine though. Any idea what is wrong? Here is my setup in the Civ4ArtDefines_unit.xml

this unit can carry now ICBM's for subs in my mod ;)

Yeah, mine too. I'm writing a little Python script to auto laod them when a SSBN pulls into a city too. :) However, that still doesn't solve the problem I have with the graphic (see two posts above).

I have no idea what's wrong. Your code matches mine, and everything is fine on this end. Sorry...
