Personally, I gave Byzantium and Sumeria a boot and added Syria and Vietnam.
I my mod, the Iroquois become Canada in the Modern Age (Aztecs->Mexico, Babylon->Iraq, Carthage-> Tunisia etc).

Texas was at one time a nation, that is way it's the only state flag that can be flown at the same hieght as the US flag. As it turns out that's not true, acording to the U.S. flag code.
I'd like to see a mod with only the new world (the Americas north and south no civs from other parts of the world).

Siam (SE Asia does need a representative), Ethiopia (to flesh out Africa) and Australia (i know it hasnt got a long history, but it is an important player in the asia pacific region, plus im an aussie

All but Texas. Although Texas would be where I'd prefer to live, I can see other civs (Such as the Assyrians, Austrians and Israelis) that would need to be represented before Texas.
Of those civs, Ethiopia, Mali, and Tibet for me.
Actually this is a myth - any state flag may be flown at the same height as the US flag, but most just don't, for some reason.

Mebbe the US. It always looked ridicolous to me when I saw them in the ancient age... Aaand, Byzantium, cos it seems no one will ever make a cataphract that is perfect for my taste, and cos its the Romans, basicly...... aaaaand, maybe Sumerians? Or Hittites, not sure yet. Bah, throw them all out!
Also, as the most numerous "people" in europe, slavs should be represented by Poland.

I've modded my Sumeria into Mali. Lazy sod I am I even kept the LH. 
Sometime I'll probably mod the Merkins into something else, Ethiopia, or maybe a SE Asian civ.

I voted for Tibet, Mali, Soiux and Ethiopia. Plenty of scenarios and mods have these guys in already, or the relevant bits are easily available on these boards alone. So get with it!!

I guess it wasn't obvious that Texas is the joke option.
I'm definitely throwing out Korea, Sumeria, Hittites, and Netherlands, and adding Israel and Austria. Portugal and Byzantines might go too.

I picked all of them except Tibet and Texas. "Canada" might as well be the entire northwest quarter of North America, whatever the Lakotans don't get, as far as I'm concerned.
In my personal mod, I dropped Portugal and called Spain "Iberia" instead.
