Defeated within 5 or 6 turns, why?!

Hello,

Whenever I start a new game, I'm always defeated within 5 or 6 turns. At first it was another Civilization beating me by Time Victory, so I turned it off, but I still get defeated. I've installed the latest patch and everything, but it still happens.

Has this happened to anyone else?
I have yet to get past 6 turns! So frustrating.

I've heard this is an issue (uncommon thankfully) for some people. Some reinstall and it works, others reinstall and nothing happens... try reinstalling first I guess
 
oh well the otehr way it didnt seem possible..to lose in the first 5-6 turns...
so i just assumed it was the last few turns:lol:
 
Yeah I've reinstalled it and it still won't work. It lets me play just about 8 turns and ends, not even enough time to make a 2nd city.

My brother bought the game and installed it on his computer and uses the CD so I had to use a crack, unfortunately.

Agh!
 
It's a problem with cracked games.

:lol: I wouldn't put it past Firaxis to have done this deliberately... that would be some wicked humour.

I remember reading about a case some years ago, worthy of inclusion in the long list of stupid criminal activities, when somebody had stolen a display-only appliance, found that it didn't work, and took it back to the shop to complain . . .
It seems clear that the OP has committed piracy: if so, I think he should be banned and this thread closed and, preferably, totally deleted. But I tread here on moderator territory.
 
Most everyone has a cell phone, many with built-in digital camera and web access...and yet so many folk just can't seem to be able to scrape together $50 for a legal copy of the game they're playing. At least that's how it seems to me. And this one is in a household with multiple PCs and looks to have internet access.

Maybe you're just really bad at the game. You should play a different game.
 
maybe its a demo.. and you just didnt know it:lol:

never mind i read that you have a "crack" in game... maybe you should just buy a new game
