[Fantasy] Elven warriors

Hi, these are the more tribal and ancient elves all based on the archer model, first we got the woodelven wardancer

Then we got the High, Wood, and Dark -elven warriors, done for the ancient era in Warhammer FB, but i hope Keal finds a suitable one for FfH 2 too.



The different units are the following:
The basic Warriors, drawing their daggers when engaging


The Spearman, fighting withg a special technique (tried to resemble this, dont know if it is more irritating than stylish ;) )


And finally the Axeman, carriing two deadly choppers, made by Rabbit White


All 3 races have slightly different skins, the models woul actually support teamcolour, but i didnt use it :P If you are irritated by the "Backpack" they carry, then change the teramcolor to transparency (look at rabbits nifviewer tutorial for that) and lay an alpha channel on it.

Hope you enjoy them, p.s. did not use mipmaps on them, if someone experiences problems with it, please report it (best with screenshot)

These will be the Worker, the Civilian and the Settlers and whatever may come in future

First, the worker, as you can see it supports teamcolour, if youve got the warriors pack, you can easily change his haircolor, by replaceing the swordsman_128.dds by the appropriate swordsman_128.dds from the darkelfen (for black) and the woodelven (for reddish brown) hair.

These are seriously wicked nice units seZ! :goodjob: You should ask someone on the forums (or maybe you can do it yourself) to do like a trailer for the mod with flyby shots of massive battles between all these cool units, you are guaranteed to double the downloads of the mod. :D
 
The WarDancer pic is finally not a X and I must say they are spectacular. Woohoo I can't wait to kick everyone's ass as the Woodelves. ;)
 
Thank you guys ;) i wanted to do some more different units yesterday, like settlers and workers and hell even a goblin, but after if finished the wardancer i thought, lets do a quick modification to get the ancient elven warrior, well it ended with 9 "different" units ;)
The mod will have improved image quality (with no loss in performance) for almost every unit ive done by now, furthermore we will have different formations and varring skins in the same regiment and even a specific officer, and last but not least some different animations for the members of a regiment,... hell but until we all can watch the clashing armies, we still need J to reappear on the moddingstage and give us a new version!!!!!
 
superb units. I love the warriors.
 
hehe, and here is something i had to do, cause when i did the dar elven axewarrior, it suddenly reminded me of something... the axethrower troll from warcraft 2 ;)

Maybe it's just me but he looks like a green elf not a troll :)

I like the workers btw
 
well right now he IS a green elf with longer ears, cause i hadnt had the time to change his outfit :P
EDIT: look at the small picture of the combat, nice shot of the elven wardancer who was hit, not ?!
 
You mentioned axethrower troll so I thought he was supposed to be a troll. :p

That is quite an action shot of that Elf getting walloped. :thumbsup:
 
well the body lines do look like the ones of a troll actually.
 
GREAT UNITS!!!! :)

-btw it is quite normal for woodelfs to faint during combat, thats why i prefer the Orcs and Goblins!

No, I'd faint too. :blush: I'll challenge him to a MP game once the WH mod is finished. Then we'll see about the cowardice of the Woodelven Army. ;)

Check the FfH forums...I'm used to getting dissed.
