Should Gauntlet results be available before the Gauntlet finishes?

Only if I choose: I'm thinking player's could choose whether they want their submission to be visible before the Gauntlet period ends. Otherwise those that like their results to be secret would be tempted to submit at the last minute if we showed all results as soon as they were accepted.

Should Gauntlet results be available before the Gauntlet finishes? I think no.

I voted 'Only if I choose'. Players who don't mind making their result public as soon as they have finished the game can do that even today by writing a post about it. An intermediate list would only formalize what is already possible. Personally, I would like to see how I am doing compared to the other players at any time during the Gaunlet period.

I would definitely like to see the gauntlet results before the gauntlet is finished. I voted players choice however I would like to see all of the finish times updated though. I don't think the save files should be available at all. The save files could give away players strategies that they don't want revealed until later.

They should only be visible after they're accepted by the staff.

That would remain the case. "Not Checked" and "Excluded" games will never be visible to other players.

The saved games themselves remaining private until the update makes a lot of sense, and I'm starting to like the idea of player's choice, with one exception. We're currently considering the idea of making the #1 fastest date visible, regardless of whether or not that player chose to. Of course if they chose not, the name of the player would be anonymous.

Our reasoning is that it would let everyone know what the date to beat is, which would be the important thing more than who had it. A concern is that since those of us on staff occasionally have time to compete in these Gauntlets, our inside knowledge of the true best date might affect our play, even if subconsciously.

I do like the idea of having the fastest date published no matter what. That is the main thing that people want to see. However that may keep certain people from submitting until the last moment but that is to be expected no matter what. I still would like to see the date though.

Perhaps just let the "rank" be visible. In other words if I make a submition, tell me if I am first, second, or 10th. At least that way I know where I stand, but I don't know who is ahead or how much they are ahead by.
