Welcome, all citizen's and governors. We gather here today to discuss political issues concerning, but not limited to:

Inter-state/Inter-city relations
Worker distribution and jobs
Revolts against the Minister of the Interior
Governor actions concerning the Minister of the Interior
Forming of States
Appointment of Governors
And of couse, free food for the cheap governors of the fine Licentian country.

Current Cities and States with their Respective Governors:
Boaring Wallow: Fetch
Micilian's Gate:
Auda Minor (Auda City, Toot Uncommon, Ning-Hsia): Vind 2
West Licentia: (Old Sarai, Abydos, Constitution Falls): Whomp
New Port City (Karakorum): Sweetaschon
Fort Impervious (Beshbalik): Oldbus
 
Any ungoverned cities I can apply to?
 
Heh, I see your already looking for a job after being defeated by one of the closest elections seen in a while. Since I don't have the power to appoint you unless the Governor's Council doesn't, I can't gurantee anything. However, at the start of the term I will post a roll call for appointments.
 
Last time I checked, The Governors Council has the power to appoint citizens in the case of Governor vacancies.

IV. Governor Vacancies
IVA. The Governors Council must request interested citizens that do not currently hold office to contact them. If no such citizen contacts the Council within 72 hours of the office being declared Vacant, the Council may appoint any citizen to the office.

@CivGeneral I'm the Minister of the Interior now. I am technically not part of the Governor's Council, although most of my affairs deal with theres. Therefore, I do not have the sole power to appoint you until the Governor's Council (governor's) fail to do so. After that legally I am next in line to appoint a Governor.
 
As Censor, I would like to point out that the next term does not start until June 1st at 00:00 UTC (May 31st at 8:00PM EDT). We still have about 23 hours until the next term starts.

I wanted to point out some of mine opinions (already posted somewhere else)
-I think Boaring Wallow should build a market instead of research.
-I would like to see a galley in Mic's gate after the granary is complete to look out for other civilizations.
-The jungle near former Beshbalik (what's it called now?) should be chopped asap since Beshbalik will have a health problem in 3 turns.

It's now called Fort Impervious.

I've posted instructions to do this in the next TC. Also, I plan to start an Aquaduct (if we don't build the Globe Theatre in FI).
 
I'm going to start a thread in the Citizens forum to discuss where and when to build the Globe Theatre
 
The latest unit maps have been posted in the Term 5 SoW thread.

Along with units, they attempt to show the new states.

Disclaimer: the maps are not an authority for state boundaries. In particular, there is no attempt to usurp the authority of governors and citizens in deciding state boundaries. I've attempted to draw lines that are equidistant between cities (remembering that 1 unit diagonal = 1 unit horiz or vertical). The Cartography Office and the Secretary of War's Department accept no responsibility for any civil wars arising from disputes based on these maps :D
 
I will take another gov'nership if there is one spare.

Also, govenors, if we were to spit out 2 settlers for the sites near BW, who would volunteer their cities?
 
Might be time to make another state...
 
I don't think we need another state.

And good governor's please bring up any points you would like to about your citites to me, so I can work to achieving your goals before the turnchat begins.
 
The TC is, what, about a day away... there seem to be no takers fo the vacant govs. At what stage do we allocate them?
 
Governors,

We currently have opening positions at Boaring Wallow, Micilian's Gate and Auda Minor.

Fetch and Vind2 both have asked for positions.

Fetch requests Boaring Wallow and Vind2 has no request.

I propose we place Fetch in Boaring Wallow and place Vind2 in Auda Minor.

That will fill our capitol and a state.

Please all write if you agree or disagree so we can rush appoint them before the turnchat.
