Just wondering who usually gets the wonder if two civs finish completing it on the exact same turn and why?

Probably the one who started it first

It's whoever goes first. So the human would get if it was a human and the computer.

Let's say the order is:
Human
AI 1
AI 2
AI 3

AI 1 and AI 3 complete the wonder at the same time, AI 1 would get the wonder because it went first.

Do you still get the extra production for the next in queue or depleted to win the race?

actualy, you're both wrong. It's who ever finishes with the most extra production. In the future, use the search function as this question gets asked at least twice a week.

I know this idea has been floating round the forum for a long time now, but a little testing in worldbuilder shows that it isn't true. It still works the way it did in Civ 3; the earlier civ on the list (in single player this will always be the human player) gets the wonder. In multiplayer it'll be whichever player jined first, and hence is highest up the list.

The easiest way to test it is to set up a hotseat game with just two civs, both human controlled. I tried it out with building stonehenge. No matter which civ had the most overflow production, if they both finished on the same turn, the first civ to play always got the wonder.

It's only logical that it would be based on turn order. The production is calculated on the beginning of each turn, and so if two people, A and B, in that turn order, are both slated to complete a wonder in 1743, then A's production will go into the wonder first.

you should get more than just gold if you dont complete it

What would you suggest? The gold seems quite generous to me, and the hammer to gold conversion rate is better than you can get anywhere else in the game.

i think you should get hammers towards the next building like in civ 3

This is highly exploitative. You end up with the players starting useless wonders (like Hagia Sophia for instance) and using the overflow from not getting it towards the next more useful wonder. In fact this would work like a free Great Engineer. I like the gold better.
