Here is the first conversion of units from the mod Rome Total Realism for the game Rome Total War. Their is many more units to come as I have nearly perfected the process of the conversion.

I will be focusing on the Roman units first then work my way through the list aphabetically. Considering the hundreds of units that I have for conversion, I will be busy for the next... oh 3 YEARS!!!:eek: :lol:

Well it seems that I rushed this unit out and there is some placement gliches. I also changed the attack to thrusting animations, as it is more historical correct. I also zipped it into one archive now that I know about the upload function. :p

THAT IS AWESOOOOOOME!!!:goodjob:
cant wait for the legionaries and whatnot! btw are u gonna do barbarian invasion units?

Looks good. Nice job converting.:)

I love you.
Anyone tried it in game yet?

EDIT; tried if myself. He fidgets a lot but hes the right size and the detail is awesome. It fits in perfectly. Are they hard to convert? Could you teach others how? You know, to knock off a year or two?

Great Job! Hopefully we'll get another regular unit maker! :thumbsup:

My initial thought with the default animation was to give the unit more 'life' by adding in more movement. I rather disliked most of the relatively non dynamic animations that are attributed to most units. I wanted my units to be alive with strained anticipation and my civ map alive with movement. Seems there was a reason why most units have a minimum movement animation. Damn thing can be distracting when you have a few dozen on the screen. :crazyeye:

So I have attached a more static default animation file, for those of you who cannot stand that much 'life' in their units. :lol:

P.S.: I will upload this file as one package when the upload function is operating again. Just found out about it today. Sheesh!

Angle seems off to me.

Woh, sorry but I'm one of those people who strive for historical accuracy and thats one of those things it isn't, BUT this is the most original units (its very angry) i've seen in a long time. 5 thumbs up!!!! The waddle is cool

How is it not historically accurate? He has a shortsword, 3 pilla, a scutum, a bronze chestplate, three feathers on its helmet, has the right outfit and sandals;
As far as I'm concerned it looks just like an early republican Hastati. Which is what it is meant to be....right?

BTW thanks for the less hyper fidget...
