Flags require

Here are some i have in a game already. Or you can wait and see what others come in also. But anyways heres a screenshot of mine.

As shown bottom to top.

China, Mexico, Australia
Bulgaria, Latvia, Nigeria
Congo-Brazzaville (GreenYellowRed), Serbia_Yugoslavia, Indonesia, and then
Congo-Kinshasa (Ltblue,Yellow star).

the australia flag look a bit distorted. i sugguest to put the image a bit lower and left a free stripe on top of the flag, or strech the upper part of the image.

@Hadrean: Did you change the alpha chanel? All that is black in the alpha chanel will be filled with team color in the game. If you change <bWhiteFlag>0</bWhiteFlag> to <bWhiteFlag>1</bWhiteFlag> ( assets\xml\art\civ4artdefines_civilization.xml ) teamcolor will not be used in the flag.
 
i've also done the flags this morning before i went to bed :D

Well here are two American Flags, i take it as an incorrect flag when people make then sideways, i have never seen any nation carry their flag "sideways" infact that would be an insult if done so( in my opinion). :blush: See screenshot of each.

Left one is correct way, and right one is wrong way.

I will not say much about Od1n3oo3Broad, cause he was the ONLY one in this forum that helped me with my flags when i asked.

so, here are the buttons and national china's flag (and, of course, the button ;) ) :D

@strategyonly:
sidewise hang up flags are commonly used. also, since the ingame-flag is higher than wide, some flags could only hang up sidewise (my opinion) to look proper or good.

NO offense BUT: I for one "personally" take it as insult after being in the military for over 20 years to have the USA flag displayed without the proper mounting. And again no direct insult to anyone, that has not served in their military for not knowing proper use and maintenace of their flag.
 
Is flag of indonesia and latvia correct?
for indonesia I thought it was red on top and white on down, - like flag of monako
not red on left and white on right
smilliar with latvia's flag
they should be rotaded 90 degrees right

the indonensian is red on top and white on the bottom. also the latvian flag. they're both correct.

well, i heard of the "sacrifiction" of the flag in the us, but i don't see it so strict. i would use the black-red-gold-flag in proper (top-to-bottom) direction as also as left-to-right. so i hang my flag out of my window sidewise during the worldcup, cause i was unable to do it otherwise :)
but the main reason, why i would use a flag sidewise in the game, is that it looks better. for example: the us flag looks squeezed if you use it in proper direction, cause the longside of the real flag is the shortside of the ingame flag and vice versa. the same counts for all "unsymmetrical" flags.
another example: the german flag. it's a simple tricolore, so we can use it in proper direction and it will look good.
 
what i mean:

yes i like idea of using a flag sidewise like australia but flag for yugoslavia i thought in first second it's flag of france

now i get it. you thought i hang up all flags sidewise.
i just hang up sidewise the australian, bulgarian and congolese flags. but as i see it in strategyonly's screen, the congolese one would have looked good also in the normal orientation.
