Wouldn't it be nice to attack with some sort of poison gas...and damage the enemy

it would just be too complicated

Can any of you guys tell me how to change the color of the fallout from yellow to white? I'm trying to make a mod of this but I can't seem to find the file...

Does anyone know how to put my mod into the WW1 scenario? I don't know where to insert it....

Isn't poison gas implicit in the Collateral Damage of Artillery?

I think about it everyday. Even when I'm not thinking about Civ

Hence the avatar, I imagine.

If this is incorporated into the game, then using it should hurt your relationships with other civs.

Just my 2 cents...

I love the sound of that particularly in a WWI scenario, make it more realistic thats what I say. As for upsetting fellow civ's I thought that's what they are there for.

My main problem is that the gas they used in ww1 was never very effective. No major assaults took place where gas was the defining factor.

I think it'd be better if it was a spy-ability. Similar to poisioning the water supply in previous games. I'd reduce the city's population by 1 or so, add a ton of unhealthy citizens for a few turns, and perhaps damage some of the units in the city.

Poison gas was never a big part of warfare, it was used during WWI to try to break through the stale mate but never succeeded. Machine guns killed many time more people than poison gas did. Also the weapons are so unpredictable, a change of wind direction could bring the gas right back to you.

yeah you are correct, I agree about them being unpredictable, but not all weapons are effective, I like the idea of the fear associated with chemical weapons maybe this could be incorporated somehow.

1) Where would be the difference between a normal artillery attack and a gas attack?
2) If there were a difference, in which way should it be visualized?
3) If there were a difference, wouldn't you need a special unit for this?

Sorry, this proposal seems to make not much sense to me.

Poison Gas(ie: mustard, sarine) would be a cool addition :goodjob: , but I think it would be cool to add a tech called Chemical Warfare  which would include anthrax and other deadly diseases   that can be converted into bombs.:nuke: These bombs could be carried on the bomber unit in the game. What would make the poison gas bombs worth it is it when it hits the city it explodes and does collateral damage like an artillery unit, but continues to damage all enemy units for 2 turns.

I think jimbob27's idea about using poison as a spy ability is a great idea also.:goodjob:

I think to incorporate that you would need the idea of troop morale.
