Nomadism Mod 1.0

Civ 4 version: 1.61

This is a simple XML-only mod. It introduces a new civic - Nomadism, and a new unit - the Pioneer.


New civic: Nomadism (replaces Vassalage)
* Required tech: Animal Husbandry
* No upkeep
* +2 experience points
* Military units produced with Food
* -1 food from Farm, Windmill, Watermill
* -1 production from Mine, Workshop

Changed civic: Barbarism
* -33% upkeep for number of cities

New unit: Pioneer
* Required tech: Animal Husbandry
* Requred building: Bank (except for Nomadism)
* Cost: 100
* Recon unit
* Movement 2
* Combat 4, cannot attack
* Never hostile tribal villages
* +100% combat against animals
* Builds 50% faster with Cow & Sheep (cumulative)

I am experimenting to adapt this mod to BTS.

* Scouts only available to civilizations with Nomadism civic.
* Scouts can pillage, attack (strength 3), and build Camps.
* Scouts upgrade to Nomadic Riders.
* Camps can be built outside cities, act as cities and essentially function as early Fortresses.
* Animal units generate a Worker when defeated. Animals hang around even in Medieval starts.

What do you think?

What do you think?

1) Easy; tsentom made a Seafaring civic that lets someone with that trait start with the tech Sailing. SImply change sailing to a new tech "Scouting" that is unresearchable and untradable.

2) Also easy, can be done in XML.

Update it to BtS, it'll be cool.
 
Well, I know how to do it, I am trying it out.

But I cannot get the defeat-animal-get-Worker-thing right. Any hints?
