Ancient Indian Units Download

Here is a pack of Ancient Indian Units. They were meant for the WHFB mod, but I bet plenty of other mods can use them.

They are *definitely* good for the Ottomans in the Warlord version of the EDU mod. :goodjob:

Give these to WR for the Ethnicaly Diverse Units Mod, I dont think he has these units yet for India.

Yeah I'll definitely be taking these though I might use couple of different heads, these are too much alike... but great units overall :goodjob:

The reason for the alike heads is that in WHFB the ancient Ind units are all from one caste, and I thought it would be easier to tell which caste a unit is by having the same head for that caste. I'm planning to make Classical Indian units later which will use a different head and a lot more elaborate armor.
 
The upper bodies could use some reskinning (simply do a copy and paste of the warrior-skin there).

But overall I really like those units and will surely recommend them for the WHFB mod as ancient Ind units (that should be enough honour?!? for now from me - you should really know that I´m NOT sarcastic THIS time)!
 
Very well done. The swordsman is my favourite. Since you are making indian units, ever consider making a better looking elephant (armour etc).

My problem with these is that as far as I know they had no armor since they were fighting in the jungles and didn't need it as it would weigh them down.
You can prove me wrong if you have some sources. But really these are awesome units, keep em coming.
 
I second Los Tirano with the elephant. War elepants had more armor and were much more elaborate. My favorite is the swordsman too.
 
Ther is a bug where in-game the unit's heads are static and move apart from the body like floating heads, this is most visible during combat.
