Has anybody ever had the AI offer a tech to change religion?

I've only seen AIs ever threaten players if they don't convert, but has any ever actually come forward with an offer?

The thought just occured to me, since the strategy of giving a nearly universally known tech to an AI to bring them onto your side is quite powerful, and I wonder if the AI ever poses those dillemas to the player. The AI knows when a tech is worth more than its beakers... does it know when its worth less?

Ah, but is it a true conversion if you're doing it for altruistic reasons? You won't really hold the faith in your heart if you're recieving payment for your profession of faith. Intriguing that the AI recognizes this theological viewpoint...

to mewtarthio u are not giving them a tech to beleive in what u do but offering them a tech to make that their state religion and therefore in their best interests to spread it to all their cites, giving u more gold if u hold the holy building for that religion.

Nope, never encountered an AI that wanted to bribe me into it.

In the sense, Civ 2 was better coz AI would sometimes pay u to go to war with their enemies

or CIV is better because the AI has morals and doesn't believe in bribery.

Sadly, I think it's not because the AI is morally upstanding but because it's so stingy
