I double checked... the Angkor Wat Doesn't Give +1H to Super Specialist Priest or Great Prophets!!! Is this purposeful???

WHY can't the Super Preist Specialist (GP) get the extra Hammer from Angkor Wat??? Is it over powered??? I Don't think so... BTW check out my production 68H:crazyeye: in 1400AD and that's without a Forge!!! Pre-Industrial Age

I know ALL specialist get 3 beakers with Representation Civic and I assume ALL Specilist get +2 Culture from The Sistine Chapel BUT NOT ALL Priest (which is normal Priest and Super Great Prophet Priest) don't get +1Hammers.:mad:

Note before Angkor wat a Super Priest produce 2H & 5G. the hammers don't change after Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat boosts priests.
Great Prophet != Priest.
Any questions?

Strange, I was certain that a prophet super specialist produces 1:hammers: / 5 :gold: ; so when the screen shot shows 2:hammers: / 5 :gold: , it looks correct to me.

Scientist 1 :hammers: / 6 :science:
Engineer 3 :hammers: / 3 :science:
Artist 3 :gold: / 12 :culture:
Prophet 1:hammers: / 5 :gold:
Merchant 1 :food: /6 :gold:

That's from memory. (Edit: and therefore wrong. )

The Problem is Great Prophet doesn't get the +1H bonus from Angkor Wat clearly shown in my pic. before the Angkor Wat the Great Prophet produced 2H, after Angkor Wat, the Great Prophet still ONLY produces 2H when its suppose to produce 3H.

The Angkor Wat is NOT obsolete, I'm clearly still in the Middle Ages.

Either:

A: the game has a bug, or at least in Warlords havn't tried this in Vinilla Civ4

or B: The Angkor Wat ONLY gives the +1H to Priest and ONLY Priest NOT Great Prophet Super Specialist

Why Don't you try out the Priest Production Strategy for yourself and find out.

Here's a Pic from a Previous Save Before I completed the Angkor Wat in 1200AD

Great Prophets give two hammers and 5 gold by default. It doesn't benefit from Angkor Wat, but I wouldn''t really expect them to as priests and prophets aren't the same.

It sucks that the Great Prophets don't benefit fom Angkor Wat, I had an expectation that it would because all Specialist benefited from The Sistine Chapel. Both are wonders and from appearance You catergorize Greats Prophets as Super Priest Specialist.

AH Well...

Maybe they'll fix it a future patch lol

SPECIALIST_PRIEST != SPECIALIST_GREAT_PRIEST

However, if you really think that they should be the same in this instance, a simple change to Civ4BuildingInfos.xml will get the job done. No need to wait on the Firaxians.

LOL i don't know how to modify it and I don't want to change it, it'd feel like cheating lol I'll just live with it, it not like I use this strategy in every game.

I think I've said this before a long time ago, but I find it amusing that after building the Angkor War priests become super engineers (since they give 1G on top of 2H).

I think Firaxis rates either hammers or food as the most valuable component. That's why you don't see any hammer or food counterpart to the Financial trait. You also don't get as many increments to the original food or hammer yields of improvements compared to commerce. I guess this is why they didn't make the Angkor Wat bonus apply to settled Great Prophets as well.

I never get a chance to build it, but I had assumed it would give the hammer boost. Good thing I found out now at least.

The 68 hammers inyour city also include overflow from previous turns. If you mouse over the 68:hammers: you will see your base production for that turn, it should be about 25.

Agreed. Your numbers seem a little bit off. You don't have a forge, right? But even with it you can't get very far from 25 normally.

Is there an easy way to count the number of Specalist assign beyond 6 of 1 type of specialist??? If not I hope They add it in the next patch where it clearly shows the exact number of specialist assigned to a city.

Sorry I didn't check where the hammers were comming from. I didn't think much is from overflow becuase I'm Running Caste System in the game. I actually get 100% production on the Academy If I have copper.
The base production is 28H, If I added Heroic Epic and Forge... the production of Military Units wouldn't be so bad.. about 63H.

If you play warlords, F1 shows your normal specialists.
Hover with the mouse over the Great Specialists in the city screen to
see how many specialists you have of one type.
