ANNOUNCEMENT: Rise and Rule shall return

For those of you who were fans of the original DyP for Civ3 and RaR for Conquests, I am writing to let you know that CIV: Rise and Rule shall rise again.

The mod has been lying in a dormant state for the past six months but, after a long hiatus forced upon us by my military obligations, the team has reformed and we are back at it with a renewed vigor. We are currently in the process of migrating our old forums from the now defunct evo-games and hope to be back at the real work within the next few weeks.

Oh, you will always be the 'Son of Jor-El' to me ;). Seriously though, this is great news. I really loved your RaR mod in Civ3. If I get my @$$ into gear, would you be interested in merging my Civics_Expander modpack into this? You would be welcome to have it, if you are interested (and, of course, if I can finish it on time ;) ).

awsome !!!this was my fav mod in civ3 one request have the assasin /secert agent /spy unit you had in dyp be able to to the same stuff it did in civ3. I.E pillage roads capture/kill workers . that was one of my fav things in dyp.cant wait
 
Fantastic. I actually just went searching for your profile to find out if you had made any mention of a mod for Civ 4. I liked the professional quality of your old DyP mod - frankly it set a high standard which others began to follow and I would like to see that happen for C4 total mods too. Not that I am saying that there aren't any - there are some of very high quality, but most of them are unfinished and havent been worked on for many months.

Really looking forward to it!

If you notice its been around 70 days since we've heard anything. In that time I no one menber of that team who went back to Civ3 modding. Lets just say your going to be waiting a considerable amount of time. To the point where Civ5 will be something close to release when RnR debuts bug free on Civfanatics
 
Kal-El does clearly say that they will be getting back together "in the next few weeks".... have faith! :)

Once they get rolling on it, it shouldn't take an inordinate amount of time to get the first build out.
