Anyone else sick of when they reply and it happens to be the last one of the page (every 20 posts on normal setting) is often gets ignored as the conversation jumps onto the latest comment on the next page?

I often find myself having to repost in order to get noticed
 
I show 30 posts per page so it isn't so obvious when I'm ignored.
 
I do :p but its simply the unavoidable mechanics of the forum thread system that every 20th post often gets lost.

Yes, I really do, escpecially when the posts are quite long, and meaningful.
 
For me, it's extremely annoying when I have first post in a thread, because most of the time I'm talking to someone several posts before, and just mentioning whose post I am talking about is not enough to understand what I mean, and people have to get to the previous page to see what I mean.

Still it's annoying enough when I have the last post in a page. I wonder who will be that unlucky person to get the last post in this page? :evil: And who will be the unlucky person to get the first post in page 2?
 
I also show forty. Are your minds so feeble that you're unable to comprehend all of this information barreling down at you all at one time?
 
If you use 40, still half of the posts that were first/last in a page will be first/last for you... It will still happen sometimes (every 60 posts) if you use 30, but less often than when you use 40. :)

The only reasons why I don't use 30 or 40 are that: the page would load too slow, especially if there's a thread like the Members' Photos thread; using the settings everyone else uses prevents some misunderstandings.

I'm so with you, man! It's like I ALWAYS post the last post on the page :mad:
 
Yeah I sometimes time it so that it's not the last one, particularly when I've made a funny.
 
They should automatically move the 20th post to the next page instead. That would solve it.

I've been to forums that do that. Its annoying because you always end up rereading the same post.

Then they could delete it from the previous page as well.

Then you have the same problem with the 19th page as you do now with the 20th.

Personally, I don't have any problems with the 20th page.

Edit: And this is the 20th post ;)
