I'm gonna break down and buy Visual C++ 2003, I swear...

Bah I need to get a copy of VS 2003 before I lose my sanity. I'm using VS 2005 with a makefile but I can't debug, or clean/rebuild and it's driving me nuts. It's like programming in the heady days of 1978.

With VS 2003 being a 'discontinued' item (from Microsoft's point of view) I should be able to pick up a copy at a reasonable price i would think.

I can't beat my head against the keyboard much longer without doing serious damage, lol...

If you want a free solution, try Codeblocks with the VC++ Toolkit 2003. (more info here)

I am using an ad hoc free solution, that is the problem. It's limiting.
