Has anyone ever noticed, that in CivNet, SDI defense doesn't save the units in your city?
I was just playing a game against a couple of friends, who joined forces and nuked all my cities at once, and to my horror, all the SDI defenses i had painstakenly built were only half effective: the populations were fine, but all my units fried (including the nukes i had stored to counter-attack).
The "Interactive Guide to CivNet" from the CivNet CD is very clear that the units are not supposed to die:
The civilopedia is non-specific about the effects, so I'm tempted to play through the original dos civ, just to see.
Perhaps it was deliberately changed, and i never realized, but then why does it say what it says on the CivNet CD?

The SDI (Strategy Defense Initiative) Defense protects a city from Nuclear units. When a Nuclear unit hits a city that has an SDI Defense, the city's population and any units inside the city are protected from the attack. The only effect of the attack is the resultant pollution.
