Elephant bug?

I don't know, if it's bug, or some problem in my config, but my elephants and war elephants don't get any xps.
When they leave barracks, they still have none (but on my slower computer sometimes availes promotions flashes for a split of the second even), when they kill smth, they have 4/2, 9/2....nut never get chance to promote.
Anyone have met similar problem in TAM 1.97?

I've figured out, where the problem lies.
There's no UNITCOMBAT_ELEPHANT entries in UnitPromotions.xml, so game doesn't know this unit type could promote. After adding entries for this unit, elephants promote normally.

This happenned because since 1.97, elephants are now part of their own class, and we forgot to add their category to the promo lists... It has already been fixed, in the 1.98 version wich, I hope, I'll be able to finish soon.

Is the mod still being worked on? The forum seems not to have been updated much and the website not since last year. This has been one of my fav mods and wish that I didn't have to choose between it and warlords.

Yes the mod is still being worked on, but I'm pretty much alone I'm working on 1.98 as much as I can. As for the website, I'll check out with Thamis, to see what we could do...

Could you post this fix for the xml file?

EDIT: nvm forget it i'll just change it back to unitcombat_cavalry until 1.98 comes out. seems there is a "civ4unitinfos.xml.thamis" file in there that has the elephants already set up with unitcombat_cavalry. what is this file for?
