Emperor Domination

Ok, this SG will be an emperor domination attempt. We must win by domination.

Settings:

Patched Warlords/Emperor/Continents/Standard/Normal/Rest Default

Leader:

Negotiable

I'm looking for people who win consistently and play on monarch-emperor-immortal level.

Number of people on the roster is negotiable, but probably 5-7 people would be good.

24-48 hrs for "got it" and 48-72 hrs to play as long as that is acceptable with everyone.

We will play 10 round turns.

There will be a very serious emphasis on discussion and I would request that everyone post screenshots from their turns using photobucket or similar program.

Anyone interested, just say so and say what your usual skill level is.

I can win about 60-70% on Emperor and about 95% on Monarch.

Personally, I don't care too much about which leader we pick, but I do stand in favour of certain traits (in order of preference):

-philosophical
-financial
-aggressive
-charismatic
-spiritual
-creative
-organized

(based on combining my three top traits, I get elizabeth, ragnar, and alex. there is no phil-char or agg-char, but fin-char is hannibal, another good choice. with spir that introduces gandhi, monty, mansa, and brennus. i already have a game going with brennus (lbd 1) so if we could avoid him that would be appreciated. no crea-phil or crea-fin or crea-char, but crea-agg is Kublai and crea-spir is Hatty. No org-agg or org-fin, but we have Freddy, Nappy, Asoka, and Augustus [would prefer to avoid Rome due to Praets]. I believe all of these leaders are very solid candidates!!!)

and against certain traits:

-imperialistic
-protective
-expansive
-industrious

I would also prefer it if we didn't pick leaders with too strong of UUs (e.g., incas, rome)

I certainly agree about not using a great UU is a good idea. I think that rules out Inca, Rome, and Persia. I think that Philosophical is always good, and i would rank the others in order of Spiritual then Aggressive then Organized. Going for domination will certainly make Organized more powerful.

Combining those, you get:

Gandhi- Spi/Philo
Alexander- Philo/Agg
Frederick- Philo/Org

I would really be open to any leader though.

Fred is solid. His UU is good and comes during what I hope would be the endgame. His UB is also deceptively good for farming GEs if the game goes a little later. Starting techs are decent enough. Phil is obviously great. Org is not extraordinary, but it is good for domination. Overall, I think he's solid.

The lack of aggressive/charismatic would probably be felt in the military department, but hopefully we can make it up with sheer numbers and solid play

Hopefully other people will join up and give their feedback. If you know of anyone who might be willing to join, please ask them.

I'm in. I win regularly on Emperor and occasionally on Immortal. No real leader preference, as long as it's not the Romans (praets are dumb) or Alex (I tried him several times lately).

When it starts? And what 1-2 days for "get it" means?

1-2 days for "got it" means that whoever is "up next" has to post "I got it (the save)" in this thread so that we know they are going to play it right away. Then they have 2-3 days to play their round. If the person who is up next doesn't post "got it" in this time frame then we will skip them and go to the next person...

edit: We will start when we have one more person (hopefully soon!!! so if you know anyone, beg them

). We will add up to two more after that if people want to play.
