The Age of Rebirth
At the dawn of the Fourth Age, with the ice sheets of the Age of Ice receding, a tremendous resettling of the world took place. With the Sucellus reborn, and Mulcarn slain, the Third Age ended and led toward the fourth. Hannah the Irin and her people, the Lanun, have begun their next rise to power. On the banks of the river Inn, where it meets the sea, the port city of Innsmouth has been settled. It shall serve as the base of the Lanun civilization, and it holds the throne of Hannah, Queen of the Pirates. This story will be retold from her perspective, as it was spoken to her servant, Rontus the Scribe.

The scouting parties have been away for nearly two summers now. Business in Innsmouth was being conducted as usual yesterday when news of a small ship coming down Inn was received. It was not long at all after this that a messenger from the small party of scouts sent away to the north west spoke to me. His party had sent him back down the Inn to bring news of their expedition. Far to the north west, the Inn's end had been located, and the hill that it spawned from was so named Inn's End by the leader of the expedition. To the north of Inn's End, a small village could be seen. As the messenger had left, the scouting party was heading towards this village. It was unknown to him as to whether they had reached the village yet. I do hope that these villagers are friendly, for I do not wish any foolish natives harm at the hands of a simple scouting party.

More news from the north west, as well as from the north east. Messengers from both parties bore good news. Near Inn's End, the native tribes had been eager to share their knowledge of agriculture, and after a year's tutelage, the messenger was sent back with the knowledge to Innsmouth. In the north east, our scouting party has spotted yet another native village. I can only hope that these natives are as helpful as the last, the warriors in the north east are notoriously more deadly than the scouts near Inn's End. It would be in the best interests of any natives to serve our cause.

Exploring the North East
AoR Year 5
AoR Year 5
News from the warrior party in the north east has reached my throne. The natives were significantly less advanced than those near Inn's End. No technologies could be learned or forced from them, but their elders allowed us access to their culture's maps, allowing an expanded view of the world even further north east than their current position. This gift was not entirely to my suiting, and the news that the village had been razed was not a large concern to me.

More Natives
AoR Year 8
It had been 3 years again since we had heard from either expedition in Innsmouth before the scouts to the north east had sent word of yet another native village. My hopes were high as they promised that they would have news within a year. With every passing year, it became more and more apparent that besides the occasional native village, the Lanun civilization seemed to be alone on this giant land. Our focus then, I decided, would have to be to expand beyond the horizon. The sea would be the stomping ground of the Lanun, and beyond the farthest eyesight would be a new land, full of wonder. Or so I hoped.

Another native village breaks the monotonous exploration.
Gold!
AoR Year 9
AoR Year 9
The natives to the north gave a wondrous gift to our scouts. Gold of all types is coveted by man, and although I am a woman I feel the same lust for riches. It's luster and shine intrigues me, and I feel the need to cherish it as my own. Although this gift too was wonderful, and my scouts are ever persistent in their search, I fear that we may soon have reached every native village on this land, and I wonder what will happen then...

Gold has been gifted to us by the natives.
