NOW READY FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION
-Introduction-
I'd like to begin by noting that I did indeed abandon my past two, very hopeful NESes and that I had a very good reason to. That is all I will say on that.
For certain reasons I have developed another version of an NES based in the same time period as In the Shadow of Rome, but with an important additional detail. All of the NES takes place solely in North America. Another modification is an extreme change in rules, allowing far more creativity and unique armies and strategies. I will only halt the extreme examples of creativity, such as a super-continent-destroying laser. The alternate history for this NES is easily debatable and improbable. Furthermore, the World Powers will not act as they did in real life, as Europe is different in ways which may become obvious to you as the NES progresses. Despite those facts, I hope you enjoy this NES. Cheers,

RULES
-Government-
The government design and management is pretty much up to all of you, and can be adjusted from starting status. However, if you change your government, expect the consequences to be dire.
-Nationality-
Nationalities are tricky. Most nations have more than two nationalities within their borders. The lucky ones only have one. The first listed in your nation's stats is your leading or predominant nationality, not nessacarily the most common one. To clarify some matters "Yankee" applies to Americans from the north, "Dixie" is the southern, "Texan" is well, Texan. "Various Native" applies to nations which have a wide variety of Indian tribes which i'm too lazy to list. Spanish in Florida is really SPANISH, not Hispanic. Any other questions on location of said nationalities, feel free to ask.
-Dissent-
This is the percentage of people unhappy with your rule. Fools ain't they?
-Economy-
Spending points are measured in IC, which you can spend to build up your army, construct major projects to improve or restrict your people's lives, or research new technologies. To increase economy, come up with new programs or deals and I will tell you the cost to implement them, and the following few turns you'll find out how successful they were. For military see below.
-Military-
You use your military to kill people. You can come up with any sort of ways to achieve the goal of killing people. Or you can expand your nation and do other sorts of things by using your military to dominate and control your neighbors. Below are the lists of pricing for military soldiers and vessels.
Army:
Irregulars: 1 IC for 10,000. These are scrapped up soldiers, some without even the barest of weapons or supplies. Use only in case of emergency or if you like large casualty rates.
Militia: 1 IC for 5,000. These are soldiers supplied by state or local governments, armed moderately well and almost as good as regular Infantry on the defensive.
Infantry: 1 IC for 2,500. These are regular forces, well organized and trained, capable of competently acting on the offensive or defensive.

Fighter Comparison: Wright-191<Mb.52<Hurricane
Bomber Comparison: Wright-298<Lancaster<Sasquatch

-World Powers-
These outside nations represent the great powers of global politics. These nations can support you in a multitude of ways from direct military intervention to economic aid to technological support and military designs.
The United Kingdom provides special aid to nations who agree to become part of the Commonwealth. They will freely provide all modern technology designs, military troops in case of war, and continuous economic boosts. The downside is that if the United Kingdom goes to war, they will take your army to fight across the world.
-Great Projects-
THese I'll leave to you. These can be done to improve the economy, army, or government control. Name the project and I'll name the price.
-Technology-
Like Great Projects, this I'll leave to your creativity. You can design new tanks and planes for your armed forces, or technologies to improve production or quality of life. You name the tech, I name the price.
