These describe ME:
They also might have trouble showing empathy with other people. Thus, people with AS might be seen as egotistical, selfish or uncaring. Check! I am an evil bastard who doesnt get up for the old people on the bus. What think that hump and a walking cane gives you seating rights? GTFO!
Children with AS may show advanced abilities for their age in language, reading, mathematics, spatial skills, or music, sometimes into the 'gifted' range, but these talents may be counterbalanced by appreciable delays in the development of other cognitive functions. Check! I was a nerd to the max, and developed people skills real late.
Some other typical behaviors are echolalia, the repetition or echoing of verbal utterances made by another person, and palilalia, the repetition of one's own words. Semi-Check. If I yammer on too fast I'll start screwing up words and generally make no sense whatsoever.
AS in children can involve an intense and obsessive level of focus on things of interest, many of which are those of ordinary children. The difference in children with AS is the unusual intensity of said interest. Check! I really love my airgun. Boobs too, so round and soft I'm obsessed about them!
People with AS may have little patience for things outside these narrow interests. In school, they may be perceived as highly intelligent underachievers or overachievers, clearly capable of outperforming their peers in their field of interest, yet persistently unmotivated to do regular homework assignments (sometimes even in their areas of interest) Check! I'm smart, but I'm totally lazy. THAT'S RARE AND UNIQUE!
Children with AS often display advanced abilities for their age in language, reading, mathematics, spatial skills, and/or music—sometimes into the "gifted" range—but this may be counterbalanced by considerable delays in other developmental areas. This combination of traits can lead to problems with teachers and other authority figures. A child with AS might be regarded by teachers as a "problem child" or a "poor performer." The child’s extremely low tolerance for what they perceive to be ordinary and mediocre tasks, such as typical homework assignments, can easily become frustrating; a teacher may well consider the child arrogant, spiteful, and insubordinate. Lack of support and understanding, in combination with the child's anxieties, can result in problematic behavior (such as severe tantrums, violent and angry outbursts, and withdrawal). Check! I'm crazy and spiteful at the same time. I annoy my teachers to the extreme. Call me the Violent Underachiever.
People with AS report a feeling of being unwillingly detached from the world around them. Check! Detached? I was out of those matrix human tubes for quite a while, being depressed and misunderstood for a long time but I cut a deal with the machines and they re-inserted me right back in. I now enjoy melted cheese and blood sports like any red blooded heterosexual male. (as opposed to the white blooded kind I guess)
And on top of that, I take 7 pills a day (JUST for Asperger's!) Check! Wait no, sorry I dont take bs pills for bs disease. I bet their placebos anyway. Try grinding them up and snorting them up, maybe they'll work better. Do it in the presence of other people, just to disturb them. That always makes me laugh.
