Nothing spectacular (and probably has been done before, through I couldn't find anything), but here's a First World War soldier - just the machine gunner using the infantry's weapon and animations.

A perfect infantry for the UK. I tried this for some time, but it never worked.

Hmm... The closer I look at the unit's textures, the more I realize that with a few graphical and animation tweaks, this could make an excellent member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police!

Any plans for German and French versions?
 
I don't do skins - this is simply a "bone transplant" to turn the machine gunner into the infantry.

However, I do notice that there are two custom skins right here on the front page of the unit graphics forum - Bernie14's French and German machine gunners. Someone could try swapping-out the skins and it might work (i.e. Bernie14's skins for the original machine gunner's skin).
 
very nice with small reskin i think it would be useful also during ww2 :)
