It does look long and thin, but I don't know how it looked IRL. Nice model. :)

Thanks. :)

The problem was, that my google search brought up almost nothing, and no blueprints. So I had to use a side picture from that encyclopedia of my cousins.. And when I do that it tends to be skinny. It looks nicely proportioned in blender, though. :sad:

I'll work on it a bit more though probably, now that I know it isn't just me. ;)

i simply verifying my self when i m saying that a new star designer has been born here!!!!!!
excellent model!:goodjob: :cool:

I haven't found a real good wood texture yet, so that may be why it is a little blurry.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. :)

hi generalmatt,

thanks again!

Glad you like it as that is the point of making it!

So now onto that Japanese sub..

I think that the ship looks to be of fairly good dimensions. I can't really see from this perspective of the image, but are the casings for the wheels round our square? If square, I think they should be round. If they're round, then I guess I'm not seeing it right.

Dom Pedro, they are square, but have greatly rounded corners. That is how it look in the book. They taper at the top also.

Actually the paddlewheelrer was used only a little for military vessels, the exposed paddles made easy targets and were not as suitable as the screw propeller.

Yeah... Paddle Wheelers SUCKED for military purposes... really only suited as a transport and nothing else.

Indeed, I does however, provide a good upgrade for the gallion. I think it should be available as soon as you invent steam engines
This is what I have for Paddle Steamers...

<PrereqTech>TECH_STEAM_POWER</PrereqTech>
<TechTypes/>
<BonusType>NONE</BonusType>
<PrereqBonuses>
<BonusType>BONUS_COAL</BonusType>
<BonusType>NONE</BonusType>

Cost 100
Move 4
Cargo 4 (Transports get 5 in my version)
Combat 10

****

Basically, you just need steam power and coal to get these units... upgrade for Galleons, then get replaced by transports.
