Hello i would just like to know what people think about this video and how it could have been made better. Its about 76mb and explain how to make a very quick rush.

It is actual gameplay. It is something you would do in multiplayer but played in single-player for it to go faster. The settings are : Play Now, pangaea, natural coast line, Quick speed, 5 random rivals

I will add this to my guide in the strategy section, so please comment before i do, so i can make some editing! :)

Edit : 3 min to download.

Nice movie. Never really cared much for Impis, might have to try Zulus in my next game.

A bummer though, if you don't find any copper :(

Usually if you don't find copper right in your capital, chop 2 forests for settler. With your warrior, settle on the copper and upgrade the warrior. It takes a 3-5 more turns but its about the same strategy as long as the copper is within 6-7 tiles from your capital.

The point is, if you have copper or horses in your capital in a multiplayer game, you should be able to do something like that.

This Video is unavailable now......at least for me.
 How will it be if there`s a protective leader with some Archers:p

Looks still available to me.

If they do have archers you just hang around his capital and make sure he doesn't get to his copper and iron. Then you wait for catapults while the enemy is just stacking archers.

In my opinion protective is over-rated because if you really have to defend your town with archers, you won't be able to defend the improvement around and you will lose from attrition.

I'm still trying to figure out why i watched that long video. Considering i already know how to do a Impi rush.

I enjoyed it, although if I didn't know what I was watching it might have been confusing because it was hard to read the boxes due to speed and being a little out of focus.

I've tried to download it ( thinking that might improve the clarity and detail )numerous times since you first posted it, but it always fails after a couple minutes and my internet connection breaks and resets.

My favorite part was Isabella/50% odds/ Go for it!

Lowering the science slider to upgrade warrior to impi. That was a goofy move. I personally would've let the capital grow to size 2 after the first worker, and then whip out that second impi. The 2 impi's, along with the 3rd you got with upgrading, should've taken out America too.

I would love to see that move in multiplayer against a newbie. That would be... not very nice.

Ive had a similar rush used against me online, a 3v3 the rush coming from the middle player, while the guy in my lane supported. All i can say is that if i have a wall of axemen fortified on forest/hills those impi are more than free to run around in circles outside of my land/commit suicide whenever they like. But they can be really effective, against the unsuspecting, and are great for sneak attacks, pillaging key resources deep in enemy territory. The impi rush is very effective in destroying unwary players, low/mid level, AI. You may find them even more effective in a rush simply to pillage all nearby neighbors, stunting their growth completely, while you prepare a more advanced siege equipped assault at a later date.

Are you knocking the guy because he didn't do it the way you would have? It worked didn't it?

Two warriors and two Archers in the American city, I'll bet your three Impi's lose, and unless I'm misunderstanding you, you end up with 3 Ipmi's either way. So what's the difference?

You should have continued the rush against the Americans. More impis instead of a settler. Two warriors and two archers are nothing! But cool video. Make more of these! :goodjob:

thanx for the vid. will try it.
