Here's a nighttime splash for the medieval era. It was requested by kumquat. Tested in game and works fine :)

That looks pretty darn cool!
Would you consider, in the future, doing the other eras like this, too?

I just don't understand. From the first preview to the last, I can't see absolutely anything on it, except 2 some yellow lights in the city and 2 moons. I see just some yellow spots! :dubious:

^ If I set my brightness to maximum, I can see clouds and the tower from which the two big lights at the right come. I can now see the image, at least. Nice. But now Modern CFC looks like Pale White. :crazyeye:

:)

I would be cool if there was a morning and evening pic too, then it would resemble a day going by. ;)

Nice work.

I see the same as Mirc.

Turning the monitor brightness to 100% does almost nothing, I usually leave it at 62%, thats increasing the brightness by over 50%. I have never had this problem before with any other pics.

What I did, I downloaded it and had to go into my graphics program and turned the brightness up to see anything but the 2 yellow lights and the moons. I can now see the village.

Very odd that some computers see it and some don't.

It used to be that my monitor didn't have very good dark image display either.
Then I got a new monitor. Now everything I couldn't see before, is clear. It seems some monitors just are better than others. It made a huge difference in game play. With the old monitor it was very hard to play during the day. Could hardly see. The new monitor doesn't care what time of day it is. Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colors from our sight. Red is grey and black is white. But we decide which is right, and which is an illusion.

Unfortunately your monitor is having issue. I can see it quite clearly on the 3 screens I looked at it on.
I think it is nice. Dark and brooding. Perhaps a little dark, but I tend to make most of my images too dark too (or so I am told).

There is no problem with the brightness on my monitor, that is why I have it set at 62%, because it is too bright at 100%, at 62% I have no problem seeing all other files light or dark in a sunny room. This is the only file I have had this problem on.

There is more to it than brightness. There is also black level, contrastm color purity, differentiation between shades and so on.
For example, I keep my Samsung slightly brighter than my Philips monitor. Because if I turn up the brightness on the Philips I start to lose a little color detail. But, I would love to turn it up if only so that it could show as much shadow detail as the Samsung.
My Dell monitor is not as good at color purity as either the Samsung nor the Philips, but it displays those colors (imprecisely) with greater ease.

Do you perchance reference anything done for a certain much-awaited mod? ;)

Oh, and as usual I forgot to say "good work, Weasel!".
