Hi ya all, I hope this is ok looking.

It was requested by WW2Commander, hopefully it is ok.
I did the Camo paint job as I wasn't sure what it looked like otherwise.

Good to see another carrier.
You went for too much detail in this one tho. Why the empty space between the hangar deck and the ship's hull? It only eats pollies (btw, 1000+ pollies instead of 600 according to my nifviewer)

There would only be actually 12 extra polly's in there, it is all a couple big pieces (So you couldn't see through the side).

Yes, I make them in squares and I am not sure the ratio when it is changed into triangles..

You're the expert here, but what I meant was I don't understand why there's such an empty space between the flydeck and the ship's hull. It's not like it is visible from the viewing angle ingame.

I've been told the triangles are the poly's.

Hmm, I should know the definition of polygon..

Anyways, most of the faces I model with are 4 sided, when converted to NIF format they change them all to three sided so effectively doubling the amount.

Ah well..

There is a function in blender that allows to change 4 vertices faces to
3-angles.

Hello GeneralMatt,
The Model is great (Essex-Model too), but i have a Problem with it.
The Avenger (and the Essex-Model too) are running backwards.
Is this a Problem i can solve with a Option in the CIV4UnitInfos.xml ?
Or is this Problem with the Model ?
How can i solve it ?

I've asked this to GM as well some days ago, and he said he fixed the Essex when I reminded him. Also, the Avenger should have been fixed too in a more recent download, but there's a deriverate version of the Avenger somewhere in the download section which is a bit longer and has better textures.
 
Is it still running backwards? Weird, maybe I forgot this one to. :p

Anyways, yes, someone made a better skin, let me see if I can find it for you.
