Welcome to the Magwa PBEM (Magwa is the Huron traitor in the "Last of the Mohicans").

This PBEM uses the scenario "The French & Indian War" that describes the last war betwen the British and French colonists in the New World with the support of their mother countries as well as the support from the native Indians.

You need to download and install the scenario (including the main art files and the patch located here : http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=165929

Note : we will use a newer biq where Indians fighter have a better movement in order to actually achieve hit and run attacks but the recruitment is already starting and you can practice to get familiar with the scenario.

Players, civs and play Order

France : Loulong
British : Blaze Injun
Iroquois : Greygamer
Hurons : Pinman
Algonquins : Pinman
Neutrals : AI

Please send me a PM and your playing times (GMT + actual playing times)

SPECIAL RULES:
- No active diplomacy of any kind with the neutral Indians (= no initiation of deals and no military alliance with them).

3 places to go with the definitive biq. Nobody interested ?

The scenario is kind of fast, not very long and (for the Europeans) includes lots of maritime warfare !

I'd like to sign up. I will have to download the files first though. If successful I'd like the Iroquois.

I'd like to join.

I don't really mind what I play as. I suppose my I would like one of the native groups if they are open.

I've got the file up and running if you get another player.

So I guess Ill play the Hurons.

So we need 1 more player for the British... are they too hard to play or what ? ^^

Besides if you like naval warfare the British are a nice civ to play in this PBEM.

Sounds Good.

Major fight near Lake Champlain where the 35th regiment of foot is destroyed by chasseur ( :) ) after bombardment. Guyenne kills militia. Bearn makes another one flee (then it is "finished" by a French militia).

On the other hand our results were not so good near Fort Duquesne. A chasseur dies attacking an Iroquois skirmisher inflicting minor damages. Fusiliers then join in hte fight and hunt down the skirmishers, sweeping the area.
Iroquois warriors proved also resilient on the lakes since they inflicted major damages to a schooner that sunk one canoe.

French merchants initiate the Hurons and Algonquins to the pleasure of fine Fench wines and liquors.

Hey,

GPS to LouLong & greygamer. Could you edit the 1st post for turn order?

Thanks for the 1st turn attack. I hope the sisters give you lots of points.

OK I apologize here.

The other PBEM (balance) and historical realism and the starting troop order made me feel there can be attack on the first turn. Unfortunately I just copied the text from the other thread without deleting that first turn, no fight rule...

Blaze Injun accepted it however and I thank him for that. So of course attack is allowed for everyone during this first turn.

This is historically correct as the French did the first attack, it gives more balance and fits the troop positions.

Now that does not mean the Monro daughters cannot change hands before being brought back to France ^^
After all in the book they were indeed captured at some point (after the surrender of the fort).

Edited the first post.
