CIVILITAS UNIVERSAL MEDIA (CUM)

CUM is the Media corporation in Isthmus City, which produces political documentaries, also from overseas destinations. CUM is not necessarily non-partisan, but represent Our Ocean views, something the channel does not hold back from the public. This honest approach to media has been approved by the citizens of Isthmus City themselves, as well as shipping and commercial interests overseas. The TV Channel, Canal Cum, is a popular media channel covering the main island, and has a profile covering English, Hindi, Arabic, Russian and Spanish, and works with media companies like BBC and Al Jazeera.

CUM has a strong maritime outlook, and that is the main core of the newstream.

About our .erm... Newsstream?

There is so much to say about our newsstream, but we seek to inject some enthusiasm and energy into the public debate. Hopefully, CUM will give the necessary seeds for a fruitful and motivating debate. That said, I have observed that there have been some potent remarks from some prominent members of the national media. If they stick their heads out like that, they are digging themselves into their own hole.

The Red Pill or the Blue Pill, they said in The Matrix, we are saying that the color of the pill is not the important part, it is the utility of the pill. To cite Deng Xiaoping from China, upon initiating Chinas Economic Reforms, he said "It does not matter if the cat is black or white, what is important, is that it catches mice". So, the naked truth, is that we in the CUM CANAL, would not lower ourself to the point where we attack a political enemy under the belt.

We are on the other hand utterly pragmatic, and would rather penetrate the story in order to bring out a juicy feature for the audience. Where the socialists use stick and carrot, and the liberals use what they have at hand, we simply get the job done, with no harm to any member.... of parliament.

Conclusively, CUM MEDIA has now come to stay, and it feels good.

Generally, people think about names before picking them, especially since Civilitas could lose the name vote.

Also, this reminds me of a dilbert comic where they pick a name from astronomy and electricity, coming up with the new name "uranus-hertz"
