Hello, just started a game with the Addon and found my first bug. Don't know whether it was in Vanilla or Warlords, but I never had it before.

Simply put, I had a grassland forested hill next to my capital, which showed up as simple grassland forest. The hill was not visible. Chopping the forest changed the graphics to grassland, so the hill was still not visible. Noticed that it was really a hill because I could mine, hammers and food was like a hill and the game actually said it was a hill when hovering over it.

Unfortunately, I cannot post a screenshot since when I reloaded the game the bug vanished and the hill displayed correctly.

I've had the same bug. I can't post a savefile because like with Ammar, the hill displays correctly after I load the game. However, I do have two screenshots, one before reloading the game and one after. The hill is not visible on the first but can be seen on the second.

EDIT: Incidentally, it looks like there are two hills there which both had the same problem.

EDIT: This is also with the latest (and only) patch.

Are you guys maybe using a custom made map script? I've had this bug in my current game too, but I thought maybe the 'tectonics' map script I'm using for the first time was to blame. In my first BtS with a normal pangaea map I did not have this bug.

I did have several of those hills showing up as grassland or plains. Loading the game fixes it for me, too.

Does this only happen at the very beginning until your first reload? Or does it also happen again later? Would be nice if simply saving and loading at turn 1 would avoid the bug.

I too have this problem without any mods.

I had a worker on a plains tile and it suggested that I build a mine here. I had Civ2 flashbacks for a minute there... turns out that was where my iron was stashed as well.

It most certainly displayed as a regular plain, and not a hill.

Hasn't happened after that first load that I've noticed at least. Btw, both of the hills mentioned had forests on them at the beginning, don't know if this has anything to do with anything.

Don't think so, mine had no forests. Btw, one of my Immortals was killed because I mistook a hill for a grassland tile, so he ended up in the enemy's striking distance. His blood is on Firaxis' hands! :mischief:

Here's the save from the same situation I posted the screenshots from. The grassland hills/forests 1 north and 1 south east from Persepolis were flat grassland forests prior to loading the save.

Thanks!

Bug Description:
In some cases, the terrain texture shown does not match the terrain type.

Expected Behavior
Hill plots should appear as hills.

Actual Behavior
On occasion, the incorrect texture is shown.

Steps to reproduce
(cannot be strictly reproduced yet)
  1. Load the save attached to this post.
  2. Observe that the plots to the North and the plots to the SE of Persepolis are hills.
  3. Compare to the screenshots in this post to confirm that they are shown (in some cases) as flat lands.

I've had the same problem. At least two hills in my last game were displayed as just grasslands (both of them were grassed hills, one with and the other without forest).

I have had the same problem also. Sometimes I cannot see resources either, even if I put my mouse over it It says the resource is their. I still recieve all the benifets from it too.

I had the same problem with hills not displaying right in 2 of my games so far.

I have seen this bug a couple of times. From the reports here, it looks like everyone else is reporting hills appearing as grasslands.

In my last game I also had hills appear as Peaks. Should I post this as a separate bug or can we amend this one to include hills showing as Peaks?

Thanks
