No Leaderheads

Ok when i open up the game and go into play now any type, settings etc. it shows no leaderheads when choosing leaders it still does in civolopedia and i thought that it would just show the leaderheads, nuttin just blank. plz help

I have this issue too, excpet I have no blue background, it is just plain transparent, I can see the map behind the diplomacy.
 
Did you guys install the 1.74/2.13 patches, and thus the new directx patch a few days earlier, when they first came out, than installing BtS?

Edit: I wonder if having a dual install could have something to do with it?
 
i didn't installed the patchs i forgot should i just uninstall it and then get the patchs or something?

Wouldn't it automatically update with the game, like the warlords and Vannilla patches?
 
Can Someone just post what i should do to fix this!!!!???
 
I get the same thing I updated my direct x and my video card drivers didn't help.
 
Can soeone plz help us i know it sounds like were whining but this is ruining t he game for us, or me at least!!!!!
 
My specs are:

XP home edition
Intel(R) Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
512 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce4 mx 420 64 mb

It says I am below specs, but the game runs very smoothly on the entire time on low graphics options. Has anyone tried re-installing?
 
I tried re-installing, nothing happened :( wish someone would help us.
 
Yeah that happens to me too. Its really getting irritating. I installed the patch and everything.
 
I'm sure I saw something on another thread about running some DirectX program and then changing the settings but I can't find it!

Aaaargh!
 
I have an GeForce MX 440 graphics card and I am also experiencing missing or garbled leaderheads.
 
Yeah i don't wanna play this so you guys who can play bts HELP US!!!
 
I found that if I reupdated the drivers for my graphics card nvidia 440 that the leaderheads appeared fine in the civilopedia, however when they came up in diplomacy they were garbeled and reveresed. On the readme file when you first put in the cd it will list the sites to go to to update your dirvers. My update was over a year old, but strill when I updated, ti came out better. Not fine, but better.
