Great work man! :hatsoff:

I mean it. It looks amazing and could prove quite helpful!

Rince:
I will prepare some various printed versions in nearby future. :)
Maybe booklet spreads (1-48, 2-47, 3-46 ...)
and page-by page spreads (2-3, 4-5, 6-7 ...)
into A4 format.

This is great! Thank you!

Wow, that's amazing. Amazing amount of work and amazing effect. I wish Firaxis made manuals that are that useful. :)

WOW! It's really great! :crazyeye:

You know, I am looking for some reference chart to show one of my friends who tried to start Civ'ing. He would love to see some chart when one can see:

1. What causes unhapiness / how to fight it (bonuses, buildings, plains, etc - in one table)
2.The same for the health.

My friend has, for instance, two "yuck" faces in his capital and no idea what to research, what to buid or what to trade.
Such a chart would be very welcome.

Mr. G.

PS. I would suggest creating "no background" version for Civ4 professionals.

PS. Naprawde niezly czad! (eng. "Wow! It's really great !")

Good job, seems really useful. Needs some proof-reading though, starting from the second page Mall doesn't replace Marine. Also the description of a fort in the improvements section is somewhat lacking and the Pyramids have Parthenon as their title. Great Engineer has wrong descrption for bonuses.

GMTemplar!

Thank you! I will fix that.
I agree that it needs some proof-reading.
Any bug reports are really welcome.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is excellent. I printed double sided on a home black and white laser printer and it came out quite nice. Perfectly usable.

The only thing about it is that some words appear a little too faint on a black and white print. For example under the Resources page, Uranium is "revealed by Physics", the word "Physics" is readable, but a little too faint at a distance. For black and white prints, maybe use some other convention for these.

Military unit upgrade path diagram would be nice, so would a technology line diagram.

Still this is really, really nice.

This looks amazing.
If you put in a Military unit upgrade diagram and perhaps a tech tree, you will worship you as a king. :D

I have just started to look at it and it's really a gorgeous job !!!

Marvellous, a special thanks to you mate !

It's both very usefull and nice to see.

wow, these are really useful

thank you for your hard work :goodjob:

Really good work, should have come in the game box on card however - oh for manuals a la the days of CivI.

That was pretty fast work in just 2 weeks! You've beaten me to it, I'm only on page 1! (Spent alot of time trying to work out how to get graphics off the game, dds files and plugins for photoshop etc.) In the end I figured just doing screenshots off the game was the easiest. I'm impressed with the quality of your artwork. The only difference between yours and mine is that you've gone alphabetical order throughout the booklet. I've got the leader pages going alphabetical order, but I'll be doing a tech tree and promotion tree, and units will be described under 5 pages according to Era/unit type.
I wonder how many others are doing guides - BTS booklet basically expects you to read civilopedia from game, which is difficult sometimes when your'e locked on screen to make an instant decision, and can't access civilopedia until you've decided your choice! I've always preferred written material.
Anyway great work and beautifully layed out!

Could you add a unit upgrade path? I am constantly trying to remember what upgrades to what.

Also, has anyone actually printed this out at Kinkos yet? How much do they charge you to color print and bind it?

Awesome work!!!!

Thx

Very nice, it looks great and includes everything you need to know. I did spot a mistake however. Airships don't need flight as a technology, they need physics.
