How can i win this? (Domination/Monarch)

Hello everyone, and thanks for reading.

Short version:
I started a game in warlords, pangea, epic, monarch with Stalin, with the intention to win by domination.

Brennus has the only other two civilizations alive (mehmed, wang kon) as vassals.
He has a monster military, with more advanced units like tanks.
He already built the apollo program (but no parts yet)
I have 54% of the land, and dont know what to do next.
I am WAY behind in tech.



Long version:
I started a game in warlords, pangea, epic, monarch with Stalin, with the intention to win by domination.

The ancient era went well, i could take out izzy in no time.
After that, having good military, but staying behind in tech i decided to go after mehmed's pyramids, in a war that i had to stay at 0%, research all the time because my economy was junk, so i fell behind some more in tech. Probably my biggest mistake of the game was to let him live in the northern lands in junk land. After that it was hard to me to trade techs with the ai, since the guys that were friendly to me at that point were tech leaders and always had everything.

Mi next step was to take the rest of the east part of the continent, while Brennus (my west neighbour) repeatidly attacked wang kong in the far west.
Eventually he Vassaled the rest of mehmed and capitulated wang kon.

After that, i killed the incans, who where tech leaders at that point, but luckly for me they didnt have a good military.

Brennus already completed the apollo program, but didnt build any parts yet.
He has a monster military, wich includes a few tanks.

If you research up to bombers and tanks, then switch to 100% gold and use universal suffrage to buy an army, you might be able to build a competitive military before Brennus launches. If his vassals are less powerful than Brennus, you could possibly reach domination by taking their cities.

Get communism State Property. Research Artillery, Make every city build them, declare war when you have 20. Then aim for tanks. Free Speech might be good for expanding borders.

i havent played this one again, will try some of the ideas u guys posted and see what happens.

On the other hand, i played a new game with the same settings and managed to get a domination victory around 1750 AD, so im happy

Play nice and then give Brenus It should take care of his stack before he launchs.

I don't see Brenus on the military advisor... I see Hannibal though lol

Okay, Hannibal is high-powered, and his vassals are Wang Kon and Mehmed. This could be painful. Try helping Wang, who capitulated and thus has worse relations with Hannibal, get out of vassalage. Then you can declare on him after exploiting for techs. That's a vassal and/or more land or population for domination. As for Mehmed and Hannibal, try taking em on after absorbing Wang. Capture enough cities and hold em long enough for a Domination.
