I always see these threads that say, "Whats the best UU". But in everyone Praetorians win so as suggested I'm posting this thread. I say Landsknetch.:goodjob:

That's tuff. The cho-ku-kno, numidian cav, vulture, and conquistador are all real good. I can't really pick which one of them is superior to the other, they just have different uses.

Leaving the Pret in there makes these so much easier, because it's just so absurdly overpowered it's the obvious choice.

im saying Navy Seal, because It's never upgraded, and it provides a good advantage in Modern Times. Panzers are good, but I usually don't have a chance to mass produce Tanks.

Hah! Cossack is not even on the list! Hear that Firaxis?!? Time for a buff!!!

The early colony advantage of the carrak is without parallel.

I also enjoy the Navy Seal, as amphibious assaults are the fastest possible way to conquer, and totally fun too.

Cho ko nu are also nice

Good poll, but I haven't voted because there are so many I haven't tried in BTS yet. I always liked cho-ko-nu in vanilla CIV4 but I haven't tried them in BTS yet. Landsknecht are very good but I don't normally prioritise engineering - it seems a very expensive tech - so it messes up my strategy too much trying to get them asap. Oromo are superb, I just won on monarch level as Ethiopia after several failures on that level in BTS :woohoo: With a barracks + one of the civics that give +2xp you can produce drill 4 oromo, that really kick ass, and when you upgrade them to infantry kick even more ass.

Hay thats why I put one I couldn't fit or forgot about.

Your forgeting is a sign of Cossack being subpar in itself. I'm not blaming you, just giving a shout to Firaxis to improve Cossack, since it no longer belongs among the powerful UUs.

I voted for Cataphract.

Since the Cataphract seems to be on top in this poll, I just thought I'd ask: What are the more successful Justinian strategies out there for BTS?
