For the second time in as many months, a Firaxis Games developer will be appearing on PolyCast, the official podcast of Apolyton Civilization Site. Executive Producer Barry Caudill will be available on the show's twenty-sixth episode to answer your questions primarily about Civilization Revolution and secondarily Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword.

Questions are being accepted between now and September 14th at 11:59PM EDT. Recording of this episode is to occur on September 15th, and watch for its release scheduled for September21st.

To leave a message, call (301) 637-7659 (North America), +44 20 7871 7659 (Europe) or VoIP for free via Skype. Questions may also be posted as text in this thread; those left by voicemail will be given priority.

I wouldn't mind knowing a patch release date for BtS if it hasn't been released by then...

How modable with Revolutions be? How will it compare to the modability of console games like Little Big Planet?

Does the game take advantage of the XBox Live or PlayStation Home's online options for anything more than setting up multiplayer games?

How do you mod a console game? :hmm: Never thought you could do that.

Mods are possible as long as you have a hard drive. Check out that link I provided to Little Big Planet and watch the video, cool stuff that allows players to create new objects, levels, everything in the game and share with people online.

What happened to the two planned BtS scenarios Superrobo and Chaos, and why were they replaced with Defence? Also, will they be included in an upcoming patch?

1) Any chance of seeing what the DS UI will be like? Very curious.

2) A quick game of Civ IV is easily 6-10 hours on quick in MP. Could you touch upon what innovations you will be implementing to deliver a Civ experience in 2-3 hours? Is 2-3 hours for all eras?

3) Civ has always depended on more or less 1-2 tile moves per turn, any chance that Revolutions sports a more tactical move system, ala Advanced Wars, Nectarus, etc?

4) Any chance that inter-platform MP will be available?

5) Just to clarify: Civ Revolutions... console ONLY? Any chance that this is really Civ V, or is that a different development?

There are a few screenshots in the gallery, but I'm not sure if the Interface is different on the wii or on the DS or PSP or whatever.

The first of a two-parter from this call for questions is now available (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=244563).

With Barry -- and Dorian Newcomb :) -- we discuss BtS in a greater amount of show time than CivRev. The next part will be more CivRev focused, though there is still indeed notable discussion on this upcoming title this time around.
