World war go go go!!!
It began in 1936. Japan annexed Manchuria and set up a puppet government, while the rest of China was divided against itself. Fascism held the imagination of europe. Russia was at the mercy of Stalin's will. The world seemed to be on the road to war... But what course would this road take?
For a while I've wanted to play a fast easy ww2 NES game. I've decided just to go for it even though I have various other things I need to be doing
I will be overcome with joy if anyone decides to join, however you must promise the following:
*To check the thread regularly, reply to diplos, and post orders for most turns, which may be everyfew days, two days, or even fewer! week!
*To spend no more than 10 or 15 minutes on orders.
*To not be upset by the extreme lack of detail and attention in the updates.
*To not take this too seriously.
*To not act too randomly either. Remember that millions of imaginary people are counting on you!

Currently available nations:
Nationalist China: $6/turn, 9 land, 4 navy, 6 air
Communist China: $2/turn, 5 land, 1 air
Argentina: $4/turn, 10 land, 4 navy, 3 air
Hungary: $7/turn, 17 land, 6 air
USSR: $30/turn, 60 land, 1 navy, 12 air : requires a dedicated player, since they are an important nation, at war with about 8 other players!
Stats for others if requested. By default, they will have small armies but I wont be keeping track of them until they are involved in combat.
I don't expect anyone to put too much thought and time into this, but please do NOT join as an important nation unless you really will be around regularly! The game has already been disrupted by quite a few disappearing or invisible players. Id rather have it NPC than a 'paralyzed' nation.

Current Wars:
> Japan, Mongolia, Spain, Poland, Norway, Italy, Turkey, Nationalist China, Germany, Finland, your next-door neighbour and his dog are at war with the USSR.
> Nationalist China is at war with Communist China.
> France and Great Britain are at war with Germany, Spain, Italy and Hungary.
Note that you are free to pursue non-historical alliances, and to a certain extent change your ideology too.
Rulesx0r:
1 land point costs $1
1 air point costs $2
1 sea point costs $2
The support costs for your forces will be deducted from your $ economy. It wont be such a great burden unless your forces get very big (100's of points).
Tech will follow a slower-than-historical path unless accelerated by spending. Maximum is $15 per turn, which is a massive investment.
Similarly, your internal politics and NPC relations will follow historical patterns unless you use $ to influence things. Again, $15 is the max per turn and would be a great investment. You can spend $ to influence other states to follow your ideologies. You can also spend $ on counter-intelligence ops to protect yourself from the covert shenanigans of others.
Economies can also be invested in, max $15 per turn. What you get is semi-random and will depend on stuff. But $15 would generally net a $5/turn increase. IE a return on your investment in roughly 3 turns. Which may not be such a great option.
Orders can be in PM or in the thread and can take whatever form you wish, though the following would be ideal:
---
Perhaps a sentence describing your overall goals of the turn.
Spending on land/sea/air (if any) and brief mention of any vehicles/weapons you want to focus on
Spending on tech (if any) and brief description of what tech you are pushing for.
Spending on politics/espionage (if any) and brief description of goals
Spending on economy (if any)
Details of military actions / positioning (if any)
Note that you cant bank your $$$, so any left over will be randomly allocated to something.
---
Detailed military planning is not needed or asked for. But be aware I will be taking into account things like supply distances and morale.
NPC's can of course be negotiated with.
Thats it really. More info on request. Things should become clear after an update or two.
Map:
The map is not physically accurate. I pieced it together from the game Hearts of Iron 2. I like the way that important land areas are exaggerated in size, giving more room for details.
