The World is Mine
GameNES is still open. I am doing two NESes thank you very much.
Sucky Banner Alert
Background Story:
The start date is September 12th, 2001. Yes the day after the day known in OTL as the 911 terrorist attacks. In TTL however the attacks are carried out by a superhuman by the name of Osama Bin Laden or The Prophet as his followers call him. He has foresight, and using it has brought him many friends and enemies. Now he has seen a vision of world destruction. His thoughts are coming of Allah and the saving of those righteous. He ordered his followers to kill infidels so they and himself could prove to Allah their worthiness. The story goes beyond that. The Prophets ability is not always clear and he himself could not see what caused the destruction but it is certain to happen. His well known video tapes released on September 11th show his faith in his vision. This concerns the world. They know he is not lying, they know he is not positive as well. It is at this time the top four super humans in the world begin to act. The all American hero, the cybernetic man, Longhorn. The fastest man in the world, the hero from Kenya, Harambee. The two evil counterparts, mad genius Dr. Nyambar, from Mongolia and the Greek regenerator known only as Hoplite. All on a missions, together or against to find the meaning of this vision. Perhaps to save the world, or to be the cause of its destruction.
On superpowers in this world, the general population knows about them as they see the top four in the news a lot as well as small town heroes or villains doing things with powers. It is not known what causes these powers besides genetic defects.
Setting: The background story covers the beginning of the plot. It is your job to help piece it together or tear it apart. This NES is not a typical superhero NES. This is a universe and it is a living story. I expect you to play it as such and write stories, however short they may be. To add to this. The day and year is set for the start. The world has had all event leading up to this point and most can be explained by superhuman activity.
Missions: With updates I can hand out missions for that turn or until you complete them. These may connect to the story or not. They if completed will give you more hero points.
Updates: An update on the story, superhuman encounters, acts of terror. Things like that. They will take place covering undetermined amounts of time.
Orders: These will round up what you did in your stories. What to spend hero points on and other things like that.
World Map: The world map will be a small and basic world map showing the location of things in the update. Like battles, evil bases etc.
Stories: Stories are key. I will read them all as fast as I can to keep up. I might keep a story index if you request it.
Player Heroes
You can only be the superheroes or villains. You cannot control any nations.
NPC
All nations and a select couple superheroes or villains that I have plans for.
Hero Points: So you were wondering how you do things. Well I reward you Hero Points during an update. These can be spent on nearly anything you can think of to progress the overall story, your character, your plots. Examples:
1.) Info on Villain/Hero; you pay for it and the next turn I will anwser questions based on points spent.
2.) Evil plot stuff: Need a bomb? Need parts for your evil robot? Try buying it with Hero Points.
Anything you can think of can be spent on. Usually!
SUPERHERO LEVELS:
Every once in a while I’ll determine you deserve a “level up.” This is based upon things like successful villain plots, or defeating a villain. Something worthy. When you level up you’ll be able to upgrade your powers. These are the following levels. 1-5
1.) Powers Revealed to You
2.) Familiarized with your Powers
3.) Intermediate with your Powers
4.) Mastered your Powers
5.) Beyond Natural Limits
Once you get to level five you can destroy yourself with your own powers if you aren’t careful. Reaching level five will be really hard to do.
SUPERHERO/VILLAIN ABILITIES:
I decided to rework this and make it so you cannot have multiple fields of expertise. You will pick a power and that is the only one you can have. Unless you can find a way to mimic or create this powers on your own. Some powers I will limit the number of people that have them to protect the world or balance it out. All powers will be on a scale of 1-5.Each power has a dumbed down description. Updates will elaborate.
