We all have at least one leader we hate so much that it has become an obsession to kill them in every game they appear. This SG will revolve around destroying these civs as slowly and painfully as possible. All participants are allowed to enter one 'hated' civ they wish to annihilate. Finishing off a civ must be left to the player who picked them. The most hated leader is probably Montezuma, so he will be our leader.

This game will follow the 'Non-Oscillating War' concept:

The first civ met must have war declared on them during initial diplomacy. Each later civ met gets added, in order, to a list. When the first AI civ on the list is eliminated, war must be declared on the second. As each is eliminated, the next must be declared on before the end of the turn. Other wars are allowed, and alliances are encouraged. Sandbagging or not finishing off a defeated foe simply to not go to war with the next one on the list is illegal. When two or more civs are met simultaneously, it is player’s choice which order to declare on them.

Sounds like good therapy if you'll have me.

Who do I hate the most though. People like Genghis, Shaka, Stalin and Monty I don't really hate as you expect them to declare on you all the time. Its the ones like Victoria, Qin and Catherine who act all buddy-buddy and then plant the knife squarely in the back that p*ss me off. As we're playing BtS, from my games so far Suryavarman fits the bill as my most hated new leader for those reasons.

You can count me in as well.....

My nemesis? Shaka ,Shaka, Shaka and if that is not enough ,Shaka. A pain in the @ss if near ( he's the best warmonger in game , so having him near is a warranty of having a war after he ReXed every avaliable tile.... ) and a pain in the @ss if far ( he'll break a civ or two and he'll grow even stronger.... after that he can ever win by diplo :crazyeye: ).

Signing in to lurk......I haven't figured out war on BTS beyond noble yet, so I'm hoping to pick up some pointers. :)

Im in if youll have me. The Holy Roman dude is a backstabber....yea I said it......whatcha gonna do? In a recent game, I was way in the plus modifiers for having same religion. No more than 15 turns pass after i go into free religion does this dude bring a SOD knocking on my door. He allways builds a ton of troops too...just like Shaka.

Oups...

Too late.
I'll have to lurk then :scan:
Would have been so nice to kill Caesar
Keep me in, should one of the players sign out - I hate most of your choices

Interesting starting position.

As we have to delcare on the first civ we meet, I think we would need to build a warrior first. Animal Husbandry (cows and hopefully horses) and Bronze Working would be good techs to start moving towards as well.

Are we allowed to get peace with an AI at anytime, given that we have to redeclare on them before anyone else?

Not the best start. We cant move the settler S or SE or E...itll still give us mountains and desert tiles. If the scout hasnt moved, I would suggest moving him w somewhere. Is settling on the Dye an option if the scout reveals something?

The scout has already moved, so I don't think he'll find many valuables very soon.

:dubious: I continue to amaze even myself. I managed to screw up two starts in a row: this time I forgot to go back to Epic speed after starting a solo game. Triple-checked this time:

I settle on the spot and the game commences.

Turn 11 (3725 BC): Our scout pops AH from a hut. We were nearing its completion but a free tech is a free tech I guess.

Turn 24 (3400 BC): It's almost as if they knew what was coming: the village people give us a Warrior on the same turn we meet Shaka. As the NOW-variant decrees, we are now at war.

Turn 30 (3250 BC): We meet the Holy Roman Emperor/dude Charlemagne. He's #2 on our list.

Turn 34 (3150 BC): We run into Suryavarman: he's #3

Turn 40 (3000 BC): I hand over to 50_dollar bag.

It's not that clear from the final map where he is though?

That's because we haven't found him yet. He shouldn't be that far away now, he's most probably in the player areas to our direct east. The next player should find him within a couple of turns.
