Did that title get you Attention? Good ;)

Isabella has always had the title of an overly religious nutcase who refuses to submit to any infiedels. Well now the tides are turned, for she has been chosen by god to purge the world of ALL infiedels, and to take no captives.

Stats:
Version: BTS 3.13
Difficulty: Prince
Mod: Gods of Old
Map: Standard Pangaea
Rivals: 6 Pre-chosen Monty, Gigla, Capac, Suryavarman, Pacal, and Shaka; All Heathens
Play as: Isabella!!

Variant Rules:
We MUST found a god. This god must be a violent one.
All of our cities, captured or founded MUST be our state religion at the end of that turn.
We CANNOT have a state religion different than the one we founded.
After gaining inquisitors (not sure when) we CANNOT have any cities with infidel religions at the end of ANY turn!
We CANNOT intentionally spread our religion to rival cities
We MUST win a religious, domination, or conquest victory
We WILL NOT give any tech, cities, maps, or units to infidels, declare open borders, accept vassals with different state religions.
We CAN buy techs with gold ONLY or demand items from the infidels.
We CAN consider this game a religious win if ALL other religions are destroyed.

Sounds fun, but I've never used a mod before - will need help setting that up. I love playing the crazy religious leader type, so I'm in if you want me :nuke:

@ Trynthlas:
Gods of Old comes with BTS: click BTS Content, then click Gods of Old

Whenever I try to play a scenario that requires a mod, it whines that the mod has to be loaded - which I'm sure is simple and I can figure it out if I poke at it (being a computer person) but I haven't bothered yet. Quick pointer at what to do there would be useful for my lazy self :p

Er, it just reloads the game with the Mod's XML and Python. If it has something to click, just click... not completely sure what you need

That is the gist of it though

:crazyeye: Well, that's easy enough. Don't remember anything to click, but eh, I didn't finish trying it out. Will do so tonight! :mwaha:

Still room in this one? Gods of Old is one of my favorite BtS mods.

My only restriction is that my job requires me to be away from the internet for 3 days 3-4 times a month, so during that time you'll just have to skip my turn. Let me know if that's ok.

I'm gonna go ahead and start this one, if someone else wants to join in on the fun, by all means, do!

I'll put up the start soon.

Isabella woke one morning with a start. She had just had the most horrid nightmare, or was it the most beautiful dream?

Isabella, the world is full of heathens. You must ensure that I am the sole deity on this earth. Build a great shrine to me, and destroy all infidels that you may find.

She gathered up her tribe, and prepared to build a city for their god.

I say settle in place, get a worker, and head for either Inanna, (BW) and chop-rush the shrine, or Utu (Polytheism). What gods do you guys think we should go for? Remember, Isabella has a violent god, so An is definitely out.

Once we figure out an idea of what to do I'll play 15 turns.

Move the settler over one tile west to grab the fish as well? Unless you've already settled in place, which is fine.

Edit: We're using the unofficial patch, correct?

Edit x2: Any idea which deity you all want to shoot for? Enki seems like a good idea (sea god) since we're close to the ocean. So far out of the games I've played I've tried An (a protector god, who doesn't offer any natural disasters), and Inanna (a war god, who also doesn't offer any natural disasters, but gives his military units some great bonuses).

Inanna chop whip strategy, check. will begin NOW!

15 Turns each, 10 for war (which we'll be doing a lot of)

Very Quick:

Turn 0: Hut Pops for 26g, found Madrid, begin warrior until pop 2, beeline BW
Turn 5: Borders Pop, Meet Shaka; his capital is just 10 S and 2 W of Madrid
Turn 15: BW in 5, Worker in 3, ready to chop-whip-rush Inanna

Looks good so far. I'm headed off to work tomorrow (I've added my schedule to my sig), but I had a question about the rules before I go:

Variant Rules:
All of our cities, captured or founded MUST be our state religion at the end of that turn.

Do you mean it has to have our religion? Or it has to have *only* our religion? I'm sure you mean the former, because it would be tough early on to expand if we had to raze enemy cities after capturing them because they had the wrong religion. Later on though, this won't be much of an issue since we'll have inquisitors.

We get leeway UNTIL inquisitors. Before though we still need to always spread our religions, meaning we can't settle until meditation and missionaries.

What I meant was is when we take an enemy city, will we have to have a missionary or inquisitor ready to spread our religion there immediately? Or will we have to raze it if we don't?
